In a brazen bid for more customers, manufacturers of climbing gear invite all comers to the "Climber's Disneyland" of Red Rock Canyon, NV for some quick instruction in how to best make use of all those cool-looking, anodized accessories.

"What with the soft, feel-good grades, fatty bolts, and proximity to motels and showers, we figured RR was the no-brainer choice for introducing a whole new, consumption-oriented demographic to a sport formerly known for 'dirtbags' and 'hardmen'", spewed industry spokesmodel Clippy Dirtme.

"Would you like to purchase the custom color anodizing for 15% more? It really is the latest thing on the clipway. And this year we're coordinating colors with all the top U.S. and EU contact lens manufacturers..."

The antidote to RRR.....climb ANYWHERE else that weekend.

Hell, if the weather's good I'll hit the valley. Anywhere but Vegas that weekend.

ccaughtinside I believe "pomegranite" is hot color for beanies spring...reddish-purple yet manly. And they'll spell it that way on purpose to appeal to climbers, as not to be confused with a fruit.

We should make out.

Ever heard of the Ouray ice festival?? Nobody seems to have a problem with that!
If I wasn't allready spending most of April I'd totally go back(I was at the first)

I don't understand why climbers are always adverse to partying with other climbers?? In my book the RRR isn't about climbing...it's about the big ass party with all your friends!
