thought all the other bike racing threads were a bummer, or really should be about the OP poster (welcome Dave Yerian!)
Chris Horner wins the Amgen ToC today
watching yesterday's race I recall that I once rode up to Baldy Village, but not beyond.. what a race that was...
...and the fans were absolutely European-crazy, and seemed to turn out in good numbers.
Those guys were amazing...

Damn fine stage yesterday to Mt. Baldy.
Great race.
Weather's always wonky for ToC - every year so far.

Oh yeah! What a great race. Yesterday's stage to Baldy was exciting, with Horner and Leipheimer pulling away. And Tommy D (ex-Durangotang) in third was great too.
I think the move to May works well, even if a lot of the top teams/pros are at the Giro. This race keeps getting better every year, and next year should be even better.

Chris Horner, one of the nicest, most unassumingly badass bike riders I have ever seen. Before he was a pro, he would school the local San Diego rides and show the obvious potential he had.
