Too early in the season. I prefer to wait for everything to fall off first. every time I go there in April/May it gives me the willies listening to the blocks coming off.

Yeah, I watched some guys pull off a hundred pounder a couple years ago during the early season. I am going to be in town and am getting antsy for some granite.

Yep....let the n00bs go first....! Kinda like avalanche poodles...

The weather is fantastic, the crowds haven't quite arrived yet, and the stone is clean- should be great times. Enjoy!

Arrived at the top of the Humber Park loop road about 7:30 am last Sunday, May 1, got out of the car to stretch and scope the rock and heard some pretty good rock fall up Tahquitz way. Guess the place is still reeling from this past winter, and the strong winds that day probably helped activate further settling. Suicide was nice, though....

Let's try this again. How about partners for Suicide next week. My special lady friend is through-hiking the PCT and will be passing through Idyllwild next week and I will have a couple extra days before I have to be back at work.
