In this age of instant technology and flat global communication, you better watch what you say.

The idiot preacher got himself on the news.

Look what else he managed to do.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/02/world/asia/02afghanistan.html?_r=1&hp

Tolo TV news in Kabul reported that the head of the United Nations mission there was among the victims, but that could not be confirmed. Mirwais Zabi, director of the public health hospital in Mazar-i-Sharif, said 24 wounded Afghan civilians and five dead Afghan civilians were brought to the hospital, with more wounded expected. Other reports said that the Afghan dead included some of the guards. Mr. Ahmadzai, the police spokesman, said the crowd was angry about the burning of the Koran by Pastor Terry Jones on Mar. 20. Mr. Jones had caused an international uproar by threatening to burn the Koran last Sept. 11, and demonstrations at the time led to deaths throughout Afghanistan, but on a small scale. Mr. Jones subsequently had publicly promised not to burn a Koran, but then went ahead last month, after holding a mock trial of the Koran at his fringe church in Gainesville, Fla.

The preacher is an evil fool, but the only ones with "blood on their hands" in this case are followers of the cult of the child molesting warlord.

We are all capable of savagery, but most us have something called restraint.

Savages. That's the same term you used when the lovely Laura Logan had her hair mussed up in an Egyptian crowd. Savages you called them.

I thought they sexually assaulted her while calling her a Jew.

Sure, and I have blood on my hands because I live in the US, voted democratic in the last election, and Obama saw fit to have someone else in France drop bombs on Libya.

Preachers burning books don't kill people, people kill people.

Or would you say that anyone mining potassium nitrate is a killer because bullets use gunpowder?

People who kill are responsible for the killing. No one else. Not the gun manufacturer, not the politician who made the gun control law, not the voters who voted for the guy, not the bullet manufacturer, not the miner who digs up potassium nitrate and not the idiotic preacher who stirs up trouble by burning books.

Dave

P.S, Those killers are weak. They are weak because they let that stupid preacher dictate their action instead of making their own choices. Weak scumbags but weak nonetheless.

From George Orwell: “All men are created equal, but some are more equal than others.”

Same with savagery.

Dopplegangers. No difference at all between them.

Just because both actions could be judged as wrong does not mean there “is no difference between them.”

But I don't understand, my President told me Islam was a peaceful religion. Now I'm confused, and the waters of my mind are all murky. This is all too much too soon this morning, where's my drugs, I mean meds?

And Dingus nails it as well...Although in this case one preacher burned a book and the other told his flock to run across the street and murder a bunch of innocent people.

We should right about now ask ourselves why our young men and woman are getting shot, and our taxes are being increased (you and I paying) in order to rebuild their country and have some attempt at Peace.

Frankly, I don't understand the benefit of being in Afghanistan at this point.

Now that you mention it, Moof, leaving a bible at a Motel 6 isn't much different than flushing it down the toilet.

Religious zealotry leads to madness
Human history changed for the worse when monotheist religions came into being.
My God is The Only True God, yours either doesn't exist or is evil. Therefore I have the right to try to exterminate you.
I'd love to burn a truckload of Bibles in that preacher's front yard.
Totally predictable that Islamist zealots would stir up the rabble same as the Christian zealots here.

My god is dead, I have nothing to worry about except your god.

Preachers burning books don't kill people, people kill people.

Word. The preacher is an idiot and a bigot, but the killers are murderous idiots and bigots. If it wasn't the koran, they would have found some other excuse to kill people.

"I like collecting Gideon's bibles whenever I travel. They're great for target practice."

Then I guess Korans make good targets as well.
