With this fire hose pointed at Central California I am wondering what the outlook is for Badwater to start filling up? I missed the chance to paddle the lowest point the last few times and don't want to miss it again. Anyone traveling through DV in the next few weeks please post up.

Also want to search for the underground alien base under Telescope Peak. Maybe paddle some underground rivers through the crystal city.

3-4 ft of water at Badwater would be awesome!!! That would be a fun trip.

The crystal city is a blast. I'll show you the secret entrance next time we are there.

Nice one Reilly. When was that?

This was January 2005. Plenty of water for paddling but not oceanic like yours.

edit: Okay, I keep looking back at Rielly's picture. Now I think I'm being had... That looks like the coastline of Maine or some such place.

The prettiest I ever saw it was when it had about 6 inches of water covering it. Pieces of salt still stuck up and it was crystal blue. Absolutely gorgeous, but you couldn't paddle it.
