Hi, anyone know if you can scramble to the top of Flying Fortress in Josh? I was thinking of hiking out there and setting up a solo TR.
cheers,

Yes you can get to the top.
It's a long way out there thought for these short days of almost winter. I recall it taking about 1 1/2 hours to hike out there to the Fortress. Great rock, sunny location. Have lots of fun out there for me will ya!

Worthy climbs...it's sweet out there!
The picture doesn't do it justice...a super fun handcrack!
Natural Selection across the way is even better.

Awesome, thanks people! 1.5 hours doesn't sound too horrible. I really like the Wonderland. I'll check out Natural Selection too.

I'm actually pretty fired up about a solo trip--the idea of being footloose alone in josh for a few days sounds Rad.
Approaching it as a cardio-and-climbing bootcamp before leaving for patagonia on 1/31 (which also sounds Rad).
(Might also check out Bighorn Dihedral in that North Wonderland area--did anybody check that one out too?)

I hear you, I've enjoyed a few such trips including some winter solo backpacking while getting rained on. It builds character!
