As I type this, friday night, a bunch of Tacos are down here, maybe they will pipe in and add their own, ongoing, adventures, stories, and pictures.
Josh is awesome even when it's cold and windy;
always fun friends abound, around,
Some climbs provide some protection from the elements. I've been up the Eye three times this week, Daph has been up it twice, Mr E did it just twice today, lapping us lolligagers,
But, since he wore climbing shoes, he missed out on this one
-Pigpen
"Still here, my hands are cold"
"Let's go back to the car and drink more coffee"
Cool climbs after warmup
Roped;
(we always carefully adhere to the strict safety rituals laid down by the elders of our art)
OR do some climbs more free form,
The end of the day brings special light,
But darkness falls abruptly
only to be followed by more adventures, lived (and posted) another day

Yucca Valley was as cold as Boston last night. 29 degrees.
However, it looks like fun. Enjoy!

Glad it was cold there....cause I am still in Wisconsin and it is really very cold. I know it could be - much - colder, but I want my time in the California SUN!!!
Thanks for posting the pictures. I'll get there by Thursday or Friday, I think.
Having the family Thanksgiving dinner today(which is why I am still in Wisconsin). Can't wait to overindulge in turkey, stuffing, squash, potatoes, cranberries, pumpkins and more. I am making a Waldorf Salad(which does not have either whipped cream or mayonnaise in it, but citrus juice and quinoi) and pecan pie(which DOES have all the fattening stufff....)

Yep, we practiced our Legendary Climber belay, so if we hit the status we are prepared:
Thursday was windy, so we had a social day and did some easy stuff:
(and by that I mean The Mikado...)
present were the usual suspects, split off into super-teams.
Team Woo:
Team Bloo(t):
Team Dab...I mean cheat...I mean Cheetah..no, wait - it's leopard!
We had an awesome Thanksgiving dinner that night:
There were like 12 courses, every one was delicious! Thanks for all of your great cooking! This is only one side...
Great to see everyone!

If you can't give your friends a hard time, well then where's the fun, I ask you!
;)
And who should I run into on Thanksgiving but my friend Reddirt!
Great to see you, Judy! This one is for you:

Some of us found ourselves between a rock and a hard spot:
This guy made it through the wide stuff without getting caught inside:
For these kind of events, one must have the eye for good group climbs:

AWESOME, DUDES!!!!
Good ya got some gud feed too!
Thanks for sharing--heck even Stevedub got
out today and nailed a hard one--
the third flatiron, all 5.2 of it.
Then almost got benighted since we
started at the crack of 10. . .

The second day, we did the eye?
I did it twice in a row!! 5.3!
Can you imagine? I was sooo wiped, totally gassed - so my next climb was setting up "Between a Rock and A Hard Spot" I totally onsite solo'ed
through the hole and up the wall 5.2! Except I did some crazy 5.2d variation up the dihedral beacause i couldn't find "The Hole". If I had a nickel for every time...anyway, that was totally sketch! It felt almost as hard as the Eye? But not quite.
Some parting shots from today:
