Has anyone on ST climbed here? I love the place, but have not been in years. Here are some pics / maps. Please do not copy, these are all copywritten. I just can't stand not talking about it anymore. BUY "BIGFOOT COUNTRY CLIMBING" FROM ADVENTURE'S EDGE IN ARCATA & EUREKA, CA.
The cliffs are a good winter spot. As long as you don't mind camping in an icebox of a canyon. The cliffs are sunny almost all day, though. So get your ass out of the bag and up to the sun and you will love it. Wierd locals, pot-drama, and falcons along with the ocasional bored ranger wondering what's up can all be looked forward to. FUN,fun, fun. Other than some falcon closures, it is legal to climb here.

The Nov.-Dec. 2010 Deadpoint Magzine has an article called "Cali-Lime" about sonora area limestone???!!. Mostly about basalt! I was like, come on!! The real Cali-Limestone is at the far north end of the state.

The snow sprinkled peaks in the background of a few pix is the Trinity Alps, with "forever-first" unreported trad granite ascents.Wander in and rope up.
Or....clip and grin on the roadside limestone.
Donini, it's in the guide I left at your house.

Yeah, a couple routes / projects. Others from shasta / Redding contributed, as well as Humphrey, Chemello, Wanden, Wilson, and others from the Arcata area on the coast. It is a jewel in the rough country of nor-cal. France without the ambiance.
Awsome!

I never found anyone to go out there with.
It's a good crag, but off the beaten path. Did anyone ever climb that steep thing below the road, down by the river.
I live in Bishop, but a good part of my heart is still in Trinity County.
