At this event, with the help Andy Smith of the U.S. Forest Service, we will work on the trail that leads from Lunch Rock around the west side of the rock towards the South side in an effort to focus climbers on just one route. And minimize erosion. Come contribute positively to your favorite Crag.

We will start at 8:30 in the Humber Park parking lot near the Ernie Maxwell trail. Please bring gloves, shoes, work clothes, water and a snack. In spite of expecting some serious trail improvements we should be done by noon. Please RSVP to Jim Pinter-Lucke by email (jlucke@cmc.edu) or phone (909.267.5767). He is hoping you can join him for lunch at a local Mexican Restaurant during which we can discuss creating an "Idyllwild Climbers Alliance" (temporary name).

I may be up there if I can find some reasonably priced (free, or close to free) camping options. Any chance this could happen?

There are two campgrounds in Idyllwild, one state and one county. There is also camping, free I think, on BLM land back of the road to Banning.
