5lbs in a month.

Stopped eating all junk food, chips etc.
I eat only low fat or non fat foods.

I monitor the calories of everything I eat.

I was blown away by how many calories are crammed into junk food.
Its a crime.

Fat is good for you. Like you were saying watch the calories not the fat. Often the crap they put in to make it low/non-fat is pretty nasty. Congratz on the weight loss dude! Keep on it!

Good deal Juan.

How about the caffiene? Off coffee? I sense a continued jitteryness in you that leads me to believe, no.

Think of the kid in south park that drinks all the coffee.

I used to eat whole bags of chips at a sitting.

That's like 8.5 servings at 150 calories.

A small bag of Frito's that's like 300 calories.

A used to eat bags of peanuts. That's like 6000 calories per bag.

All this serving size bullsh#t. Maybe fat people like me need the math practice?

Well each Dr. Pepper has 160 calories, so that's about 1,000 calories a day. That is 2/3 of an inactive adult man's caloric intake. No suprised you started dropping pounds.

Walking is as good as it gets for people wanting to drop pounds and have more energy, though moderate cycling is damn good as well. Of course, you have to carve a real chunk out of your day for it (up to an hour and a half if your work/lifestyle puts you on your butt most of the rest of the time), and you can't sell people much crap or make videos about it so it ain't real popular these days.

Jody, I'd expect a steep "learning curve" and then some good results. The body may have a bit of a starvation response to losing 1000 calories of sweet sweet sucrose a day, but it'll figure it out soon enough. But hell, what do I know, my buddy goes through three 12 packs of full sugar root beer a week and still looks like a basketball player 3 years after college, I drink 1-2 diet cokes a day and look like a software designer.
