Whats a sweet peak in the northern sierra that I can bag in a day in the same vein as Laurel Mountain?

Do emerson. It's a short hike to a great, but tough to spot climb.

N, ridge of conness, can take a rope for the reppells.
Crystal Crag out of mammoth, take the ridge from the hillside (mammoth crest) in which it terminates, to the summit(south to north). Then scramble back.
NE ridge of bear creek spire.

Aquille du Fou... Right across the way from the Emerson route and every bit as good. (shorter approach and faster descent)
