I am interested in what peoples preferences and experiences are with some gear slings. I am interested in ordering on, up until now I have just used a short tied runner.
What I am considering
Fish Safari
Fish Padded
Black Diamond padded
Metolius Single loop
Metolius Multiple loop
Anybody have any opinions, is the multiloop helpful, is the fact that the fish can't adjust any issue, anything?
Thanks

On your harness feels like a wet diaper.

The FISH also are a full-strength runner. Nice, simple, and you can get one of the killer pelt designs.
The multi-loop slings are nice if you're an over-racker. It keeps you from getting too clustered. That's what I use, I overrack in Joshua tree, which is pretty sad really. Plus, if your rack is super-heavy, you can get the underarm loop to keep the on you when yer dangling upside down because your rack makes you top-heavy. Good planning.
If you're a "set of singles" kind of guy, get a single loop like the FISH, simple and OK. Of course, if your rack is that light, the nylon runner will do the trick. :)

Just bought a Metolius Multi Loop; going to try it out Monday on DeVille III, original Kor route, up at Estes park. Will report back....

Nowadays they wear their pants low.
BITD on the Foggy Isle they hung their gear low...

I hate having gear hanging on my harness, and I hate ordinary gear slings. Bunch of years ago I got a Yates Wall Rack. Haven't used anything else since.
There are other manufacturers, and they (and Yates) make a variety of "double racking systems" so there is plenty of choice. But for me the bottom line is that there are loops on both sides, the weight is on my shoulders (instead of pulling my harness down), and when I lean sideways, everything stays put.
Of course I look like a gumby, but that's not something that bothers me.
