Couldn't resist introducing myself to Alex at the Mountain Festival.
Another example of the kind of talent that arrives here every summer.
I heard he climbed the U Wall with a rope and Freeway without.
We're having one of the longest stretches of good weather in a long time and everything's about as dry as it can be. Can only imagine the sorts of shenanigans and mayhem taking place at the crags. We'll probably have to wait till the fall to get the full report.

Foursome on the Chief with Honnold: Free Grand Wall, U-Wall with Chimneys, Northern Lights and Freeway. About 13.5 hours car to car, no falls.

I was up on the top of the split pillar and we saw a guy in a yellow shirt cruising freeway solo. it was pretty cool to watch.
