The White House is about to decide who will move into Helen Thomas's coveted front-row press briefing room seat. The contenders are Fox News, Bloomberg News, and NPR.

I say give it to NPR. Or the National Enquirer. Or Juan de Fuca. ANYBODY but Faux News.

The final decision is due August 2- sign this petition if you care about quality journalism, and forward it to a few thousand friends of yours.

PS: Next time you see a television blaring Faux News in a public place...do us all a favor and turn it off.

I just know they're going to dignify that Yellow journalism Faux News to appear bipartisan.

I wouldn't want anything to do with it until the Preparation-H stains are steam-cleaned out of it.

This is a no brainer lads-

It is a toss up between Stewart, Colbert or my choice today would be Jon Oliver.

Oh yes and I forgot to mention that, in reality, NPR stands for National Propaganda Radio.

Yeah, I have a sinking feeling you're right about that, dirt. You'd think that those guys in the WH would've figured out by now that the Repugs have no interest in bipartisanship. Fool me once, shame on you..fool me 700 times....

Cragman, did you really mean to say that out loud?
Thank you!
That's exactly what I've been saying.

Yes, they sell the most advertising, couldn't have said it better myself. Do you thing they want to report news, or service Bp?

"Yeah, whatever, keep ignoring the fact that Fox beats all those other "news" agencies combined."

Well, not exactly 'combined', but Faux News is definitely the largest cable 'news' (using that word verrrrrry loooooosely in this context) network around by a longshot.

Lots of people also like to smoke, eat donuts, and drink Coors. That doesn't mean that stuff is any good for you, though.

The decision may have symbolic importance, but means little if anything in context of the quality and value of journalism in the US. It really doesn't make any difference.

sign this petition if you care about quality journalism

By sh#t-canning Thomas we already took the first step towards "quality journalism".

But NPR??? Isn't that tax-payer funded (gov't) news. Ever heard of Pravda? I'm with Skippy on the NPR bias thing...

In other words, unlike the NY Times bias actually losing money and the SF Comical, NPR isn't subject to viewer/reader remorse. They almost can't fail regardless of how they suck.

Can't believe so many of you hold them in such high regard. Just because it has Public Radio in it's name doesn't mean it reflects popular public ideals or opinion.

Schmucks!

EDIT:
they want change, and a Progressive agenda

Are you fools still running with that? Bwahaahahaahahh!@

Keep it up!
