The actual day is July 11 (tomorrow) but he deserves an early celebration this year.
Happy Birthday to my good friend and most excellent climbing mentor!
You are the kindest, most forgiving, most accepting, most supportive friend and you deserve much goodness. I hope this new year brings new life, health and energy flowing abundantly through you.

I've always said one day is not enough to celebrate - so starting early is appropriate (as is celebrating beyond the 11th).
