I am a beg fan, but they were a little pricey. Iliked the taper and the brass seems to bite a little better than some of the harder metals in crystally rock.

DMM makes them now, the same as the old HBs.

Black Diamond is suppose to be coming out with some as well. Looks to be @ the same price as the DMMS.

Where can you find information on the BD ones? I've been a little curious to look at them.

The HB ones are now made by DMM -- just google "dmm offset brass" and you will find plenty of info. I bought some at the Yosemite mountain shop when they were still HB's, and recently picked up one of the DMM versions.

Cant remember where I saw something about the BD version but from what I do remember they appeared to be a somewhat rougher version of the HB / DMM ones and yes they seem to be priced right around the same as the DMM ones

How about the HB micromate? In my opinion one of the best small cams. Found a rusted out one about 15 years ago behind the leaning column at DT. I oiled it up and still use it as a goto piece to this day. I think when they stopped making them one of the mail order places had them for $33 each, you can't even get barely get two of the offset nuts for that price today.

Mari Ginger fell 12 ffet to break a 0 chouinard stopper, to have a number one hold her just a foot lower.

her comment on the failed zero? well, at least it slowed me down so the number one held...

little nuts are a good thing when there is nothing else!
