The famous "big wall spoons" distributed free with A5 orders BITD (and also, as mentioned, sent to those who wrote letters for the EIS in Yosemite when they were about to close camp 4 forever) were made by Olicamp, and we got them from the distributor Liberty. I think they are no longer available, at least in this county (I think Olicamp is a European company?).

Course, the best ones from A5 were drilled for a cable clip-in loop, and stamped with "A5". I think it was Minerals who modified about a 1000 of them in a single session one time.

The "wall spoon" somehow garnered a bit of a mystique beyond the simplistic tool it is. It is a handy tool for sure, and I imagine many a can of Chef Boyardee has been cranked open by them on walls everywhere. Todd Shack came into a few of them some years after the deucey unloading, and I managed to con Todd into giving me one so that I have a spare. I can squarely blame the wall spoon for the fact that Shack is a pal today. At least I think he is...hehe.

Hahaha!
My pal Mike., obviously doesn't remember the details (he'd be more of a pal if he'd invite me to go climbing more often) ;o
When Deucy had that huge auction of stuff on Ebay like 5 years ago,
one of the auctions was something like a dozen A5 spoons...but only about half were stamped A5 and the others were blank.
I managed to win the auction for some insane amount, and I traded Mike. a spoon for one of his
Bad Ass 3D El Capitan calendar things. The rest is history.

and actually I have a few unstamped ones left.

knife blade + hammer = can opener.
1" angle = spoon.

Was that so difficult?

Set of folding silverware--they get really small--with bottle opener and can opener for $14.00 (s+h included).

A friend of mine from Russia opened this webshop in September as part of Expedition, a ltd liability corporation which sells outdoor goods around Russia and Europe (as well as does other cool stuff). Could provide some humorous holiday gift ideas.
