So Mike from Phoenix calls me to check to see if the event is still on.
I'm slightly perplexed. It never was "on" at least according to my calendar. And well... since I'm the guy with the knives that sorta matters.
Anywho...... due to a variety of reasons I've had to postpone my Yosemite trip. Sucks but it really is for the better....
So there's really no place I'd rather be than Winslow for that weekend. So we'll do one night of sushi, possibly two.

the memorial day sushifest will be held over Christmas.
May 29,30,31
Most likely sushi will be Sunday night.
Aussie was buried out there. I've yet to visit. I've not been back since I spread Ms. Summit's ashes.
John: at best I expect 10 people. I bet I don't need help. Hey... you didn't bring me 50 lbs of sushi rice for nothing! haha
Cost will be $25 or $30 - you can cough up when you get there. It'll depend on the fish I get.

Put me down for "probably." Gotta check what's going on with the gf, but she might want to come too. And I can't climb, one arm in a sling and all, but it would still be a hell of a great time.

What's a Sushi fest? Is anybody invited? If I can sneak across the border I'd love to attend unless it's in Arizona.

I think its safe to say you're invited, but it is in AZ. The Winslow Wall to be exact. Lots of 5.11 - 5.12 sport, trad and mixed climbs in an idyllic setting (deep water soloing is available, too).
We promise to keep all the brown people safe from the man . . .
But better bring youre documentation just in case.

Shipton Spire is a long ways from Winslow . . .
Do you have experience short fixing?
I wonder how it is for Americans traveling in Pakistan these days.

That'd be the one! deep water soloing. great routes. Sushi!
pull the trigger
We're also going to put the finishing touches on some routes. I've got a stack of Mussy hooks to install. Want to lower the anchor on a few routes too.
