Anyone replaced their battery in their Ipod. I have a Nano and I see there is kits out their to do it yourself. Do they work? Sorry for the non climbing thread, but I do find that it is essential bouldering and looking for new routes gear.

Also you did not specify which generation ipod nano you have.

Werner thanks for the info. it looks fairly tedious. it looks like I might want to pay the extra bucks for the Apple store to do it. Mike

Yeah it's a pretty delicate tear down. As you can see in this photo the earphone plug/menu ribbon cable was accidentally ripped off the main board during the tear down.

Yes ... total fukup on my part.

I found this unit with a bad battery so it was no big loss.

It did work though, but the battery charge only lasted about 5 to 10 minutes.

That ifixit site is good. I used directions from there to replace the hold switch on my ipod classic. Not too tough, and way cheaper than having someone else do it!
