'cause Chanukah is over, I already got this, and Santa would have trouble getting it down the chimney anyway!

LOL, Reilly !!!!!

Three days ago Clifford and I scouted a great new 1,000 yard range site. Good flagging and lasering, shooting NW.

Gonna get back out there with the PSS .308, the .300 WSM, the 6.5mm X 284, and of course the McMillan .50 BMG.

But ya gotta have a backup if flushed, hence the beta-mag SR.

Aaahhh gun, cave man weapon.

Advanced man uses bow and arrow.

With proper invocation of powerful mantra, arrow goes to the intended rascal.

Whooosssh, it strikes rascal in heart.

Rascal falls over and goes to next life.

Because tip of arrow is invoked with nice higher consciousness, rascal advances in next life.

The end ....

Ronnie,

what have you been facing that you couldn't deal with, had you armed yourself with a Glock? Your Ruger is like racking up for the Reticent Wall but doing Pineline.

One of my favorite scenes in the Novel 'Neuromancer,' is where the blind, vat-grown ninja holds a blunderbus and says, "this, lacks subtlety"

Did anybody stock up on High-capacity 9mm mags before they couldn't be mfg. anymore, like a gun-nut buddy of mine did--seemed like a smart move if you want to move a bunch of rounds through your Glock without the clip change?

Peetie,
I already have a 21.
Combat tupperware has limited applications.

Not that I don't love the .45, but your 13 round clip is gonna run dry loooong before that 100 round beta-mag, even if it did penetrate light armor.

Jox,
gimme a PM about my Butler Creek mini.

Maybe since Santa is packing so heavy, he'd just bust down the front door..

(which still might be a mistake at your house)

A Nice Holiday story for the "gun nuts."

Salmon Falls Creek Shoot-out

In 1982, just south of the Idaho-Nevada State line on Highway 93, there was a minor car accident.

A California driver scraped another car that was turning into a rest area at Salmon Falls Creek.

Both cars stopped, as several dozen people at the rest area: gawked at the “fender bender.”

Although the accident was 5 miles from the nearest Nevada town, an Elko County Deputy Sheriff, was nearby.

The Deputy drove up to the scene, and thinking it was a “fender bender” approached the scene in a “non-threatening” manner.

The California driver shot him in the head.

At that point, the California driver, noticed all the nearby witnesses.
He walked towards them shooting.

Two people grabbed weapons from their vehicles and returned fire.

The Californian was killed in a “hail of bullets” and no-one at the rest stop was injured.

It turned out that the Californian had “gone insane,” killed his wife and fled north.

Brief story from the NRA website on the incident:

Joseph Dean of Winchester, Calif., and Wendell Knighton of McGill, Nev., were stopped at a rest area near Jackpot, Nev., when they saw a man shoot a sheriff`s deputy. As the criminal advanced on his car, Dean grabbed a pistol, rolled under the vehicle and exchanged shots with him. Knighton, sitting in his own car, opened up, too. In the fusillade, the criminal was killed with no injury to bystanders. Meanwhile, Knighton`s wife and sister-in-law gave first aid to the fallen deputy, probably saving his life.
(The Daily Free Press, Elko, NV, 7/30/82) (AR 9/82)

If those “gun nuts” parked at the rest stop had not been “packing heat” it would have been a massacre.
