Hi guys,
you may not know it but I'am over 80 now and looking for some esthetic sandstone to climb, with a pretty lady from Canada.
I'm in Jemez Spring NM, Bodhi Manda Zen Center and John they let me be Jigijistu once in a while.
Surrounded by sandstones in Jemez Canyon, NM, possible cracks and chemneys, and pretty ladies doing Zen.
So long,
be with Buddha,
Dootz

Dootz, Jeff and Connie say hi. Not sure if you remember me from Goodykoontz, Harrison daze. We used to boulder a lot at Baldy. Climbed a few times at Josh and Suicide with Royd Riggins. (Pink Royd).

Great to hear from you, Jim. I'm here at the Ocean Moon Sangha in Venice, Ca., and they never let me near any of the bells or whistles. I just got balled out for wearing shorts in the Zendo.
Take care!

Learn something new every day - I knew of Dutzi Mountain, but didn't know it was named for someone.

Dootz, the last time I saw you, I was with Connie and you were living with Mary in Carbon Canyon. Before that, you were living at the top of Euclid in Upland, just past the old Sunshine Bungalows.

The last time I saw Terry Goodykoontz, was in Aspen, he was working as a baggage handler at the airport, making buku tips. I think his cabin was S/W of town.

Gotta bump this one...
Hi ya, Jim! Robs here. Didn't we see each other briefly about a decade ago on the downtown streets of Claremont? As I recall, you still looked like the Dutzi of yore.
(And I'm guessing you've only managed to grow a Buddha-belly from all that zazen.)
Great to hear that you're still kicking! Keep it up.

Oh... BTW, Jim. Do you still have that copy of "The Three Pillars of Zen" I loaned you about 25 years ago to share with a lady friend of yours?
Oh. I thought not.

Jim.... last time I saw you was when me, you, Mari, Lechlinski and maybe a few others were actually bouldering out by your namesake.... Mt. Dutzi in Josh. Must have been 1979 or so. You must remember, right!!!!!!! Well, I do, and I guess that will have to do. Zen on, man, Zen on.

Jim, no way! The mystery of your whereabouts has been the topic of many discussions over the years. Glad to hear your alive and well.
I fondly remember the time I stayed at your cabin up Baldy Cyn. I was on my way the THE valley (Yosemite)on my motorcycle (1978 or so?).That was the Kawasaki H1 500cc three cylinder two stroke rocket that I got fron Mr. Dean Fidelman (Bullwinkle) in a trade for a set of friends. It went 0-100mph in about 8 seconds and had a wicked steering wobble that kicked in at about 75mph.
Cheers,
David Evans

Remember when Goodykoontz was living behind the Buckhorn in Baldy, and he had that wonderful "Fisheye".
