thanks for your trip reports hollyclimber,
they, along with the other reports of climbing big walls in the Valley, are responsible for expanding my already expansive list of things to get done.
You're breezy reportage also hides the very real accomplishment of getting up those things in the manner that seems so very casual. This also helps me deny the hard work it's going to be to get my old bones up anyone of those routes. But if it happens it will be, at least in part, because of TRs.

Thanks Friends! As usual, I am impressed that the Super-Topoians have kept these TR threads mostly nice. (Shame on the folks dissing each other in the Shield thread). So, as long as everyone plays nice, I will keep posting them up.
What's next...it already happened. We finished this climb on Friday June 27th, just in time for me to drive to Sac and pick up my dad that night. Then, the next Wednesday (July 2nd), as reported in the El Cap report, Erik and I fixed on the West Buttress, which we then climbed on July 4th. Happy 4th of July!
Yeah, we climb with a lot of gear sometimes. Lorna has one cordalette on her leading the changing corners. We normally climb with 2 on wall routes, but one was helpful to make space for three and a bag on the Triple D. The upper shelf of the cordalette was a common point to clip into, so its nice to have that room with a bigger party.
Way smoky! Glad that smoke deal in the Valley is done. And now, I am grounded for quite a while to do all the work that has been building up during my spring climbing season. Time to hit the books. Erik and I will get a West Buttress Trip report up ASAP.

What, no men caught slumbering?
What kind of a trip report is this?
Actually, getting passed by those speed demons was payback for the mummy bag shots.
Some people sleep, some people haul ass!
Lots of smoke.
What fun this digital age is. Pretty soon, the cameras will have built in transmitters, and we can get the pics real time.
They used carrier pidgeons over at Lockheed, Santa Cruz for many years.
Not anymore.
