Here is Karl Mueller, circa 1978 on a problem at Woodson called “Go With the Flow”.

I met Karl when I lived in San Diego, and we had last climbed in Eldorado Canyon in the 80s. I recently got reacquainted with Karl and we vowed to get together and go climbing again. Yesterday, he led me up Pat Ament’s 1964 route “Werk Supp” in Eldorado Canyon.

Karl is now a professor of Geology at the University of Colorado and is raising a family. It was a fine day as we managed to avoid the heat in the shade of the north face of the Bastille. Any of the old Woodson crew out there, say hi to Karl.

Very cool!

I recognized Karl from that Yosemite group shot you have Rick.

What are the temps in Eldorado?

Mike,
It was 95 yesterday. Today, much cooler and a touch of rain. Did you get up to Idylwild this weekend with Ian?

Nice little "reacquaintance" TR, Rick.

Don't cha got a few more photos of that place and you guys?

I'm just recovering from a week of sinus infection/bronchitis and horrific cabin fever...all outdoor photos are greatly appreciated!:-)

Not this weekend, maybe next.

Right now we’re all off to Pine Mt. to trample (sorry, tiptoe) around boulders and see what all the “Pristine” hubbub is about.

Hope you’re feeling better L

Sorry, L,
I was belaying, so most opportunities for photographs were butt shots of the leader. I've got plenty of those in my collection and I didn't need any more. Had it been you in the lead, it would have been a different matter.
Hope you get well soon.

Rick!
Don't you know you'd be taking pics of something the size of New Jersey?!?

Just kidding, L - here's hoping you - and your tiny a$$ - get to feeling better and get outside.

Also, nice reunion TR Rick.

Very Cool! Karl was one of the great climbing mates at Woodson in the '70's! A great guy for sure!
