I've heard that possibly these photos have been posted before, but a friend of mine sent them to me as Tea House Of The August Moon. Obviously these cats weren't concerned about the size of their chisel marks!!
First, we'll start out with a little tram ride for the approach....
But it's not just about a tram ride...there's more.
Now to start the actual ascent.
Just a wee bit of invisible "enhancing".....
Just a touch of epoxy here....
Watch out for those moldy boards there....
Thou shalt be courteous when passing thy neighbor and not drop any gear!
Hmmm...that piece looks a little manky. We'll just widen these footholds a bit.....
Better make sure these fixed lines are secure with a little padlock action....
Ahhh...the summit ridge at last. That's not a board walk, those are chiseled stairs!
The Tea House Of The August Moon at last! Time for a little refreshment before the big descent. Better go easy on the beers.
How's that compare with the cables on Half Dome?

Just a little insider stuff from "Metamorphic Petrology". Some of us "rockheads" actually look "AT" the rocks as we climb them.
This is a joke relating to "rock alteration". Only a hardrock geologist would probably laugh.

An understanding of basic geology, and natural history generally, is an asset to any climber.
I went climbing with Minerals one day last summer, and he gave me a fine explanation of Tuolumne rock.

Thanks again for your advice and guidance with photos.

Hardman, I certainly did knott plan on stepping on any toes. I've only been here since Nov. and was having some fun trying to figure the photo posting out. The photos on the other thread are dead and gone by the way.
Man, those Chinese sure do know how to put up a day hike eh?
Think they have endless Wings Of Steel debates about it?

That's actually the "Heaven Ladder" on Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain), a sacred Taoist peak. Glaciated Mesozoic granite, too, you guys would feel right at home.
