Sometimes I get down on myself for wasting so much time online and feeling super lame for doing so... then I come to Supertopo and read sh#t like this, posted by people much, much older than me and I feel way better.

And, it's not the first time I've received hateful emails from Supertopo dudes.
I am pretty sure as to who it was sent by, though I didn't realize it when I posted the note. And I'm pretty sure a lot of you all are pretty sure as to who sent it as well. NOW do you recognize that misogyny is real, even when displayed in less obvious terms and cloaked under the guise of debate?
As to Another Nickname - The post you included YOUR links in was intended to be a celebration of life post for someone. I really can't believe that people are too - too SOMETHING - to get the concept that death announcement threads are not the place to publicly bring up topics intended to hijack the threads.
Kind of like - It's one thing to go to a funeral and quietly say to another attendee your thoughts on this and that. It's quite another to interrupt the eulogy and proclaim "but let's not forget this!" when the point is to swerve the mood.
You have a history of continuing to go on, so long as anyone bites,with your crusades(pun on one of your earlier avatar names). I have no desire to debate you further on this.

the thread was poorly titled, but the meaning was good. When Bachar died some people in the memorial thread bagged on him for soloing. It was an important topic, but the discussion shouldn't have happened in the memorial thread so another thread was started. Thats all Terri wanted. Start another thread instead of hijacking memorial threads.
I don't believe Terri made up the hate email she was sent. I tried to help someone here on the Taco and posted my phone number. A few people here took the opportunity to send me some hateful texts.

Barbarian's correct. Somewhere I have a picture of Happie climbing with Todd Gordon, Tucker Tech, Wendell and myself and others out in Josh. The approach was a typical Gordo one, 5.12.... the climb only 5.8 or 9ish. No joke!

I did think you over reacted a tad to Another nickname, he was simply posting historical facts. One of my ancestors did some things in the civil war riding with Quantrill that would constitute war crimes. One of the early versions of what we now know as "payback is a bitch" I suppose. Talking about it isn't a bad thing though, it's fact. If you are upset because Bert Smily was your friend, sorry for that.
