I am hoping that my shoe (Mythos) can still be salvaged. I have used Rock and Resole a few times and they seem OK. A friend can drop them off for me and that will save me $6 (of shipping). On the other hand, most people here have said great things about Barry's Resole in Auberry (and the Rubber Room?). Where should I send the shoe?
(And for everyone's info : Barry is very backlogged right now and it will take him 2 months, but I do have a backup pair.)
Thanks,
Alfred

Resoling climbing shoes is so piss easy.
Why do people spend so much money having others doing it?
I remember me and Merry resoling hundreds of climbing shoes in the Camp 4 parking lot for years ....

Tried resoling my own shoes a couple of times with barge cement and C-4. Lets just say it's worth paying a pro.
BTW, Locker did my last pair and did a gud job.
But...
You're still gonna die.

When me and Merry were doing the resoling in the Camp 4 lot we were swamped.
There was more business and demand then we could handle .....

Locker,
I know you weren't in the original equation but figured you should be added in to it.
Sad thing is I've been so busy with "life" I haven't had a chance to wear out another pair of shooz since you brought my old Scarpas back to life.

One more vote for Locker.
I haven't used either of the two outfits you asked about, but Locker (Positive Resoles), has done excellent work for me.

Berry taught Jake here in Fresno. He has done my last 4 pairs and I have been happy. I just drop them at Metal Mark gym in Fresno with a note and he picks them up. I don't want to post him phone number without asking but if you call Metal Mark, they have the number. I am sure he could expedite.

I had Locker resole my TC Pros with C4 rubber, and couldn't be more pleased with either decision. Impeccable work.

Very sincere THANKS to you ALL as well!!!...
Now I am having head size issues...
Okay, so I suppose I should add a caveat to my earlier recommendation of Locker as a resoler. Here's the deal: His work is excellent. There is no question about that. If you send him your ancient, broken, torn-up shoes, you're going to get something better-than-new returned to you.
But...
Yeah, there's always a "but."
But Locker isn't playing with the same deck the rest of us use, and you may find that you get more back than just perfectly resoled shoes. I know this all too well, and have posted fair warning here on Supertoprope.
So before you box up your shoes and send them off to Positive Resoles, read this: http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.php?topic_id=660999&msg=660999#msg660999
You have been warned!

Another vote for Locker. Great turn around time, communicated well throughout and the work looks great.
Have used R&R in the past, but wasn't wild about last job from them or turnaround. Have never tried Barry's.

Another vote for locker. He salvaged my Megas, for which I am thankful Just ship them to him. His address is 69 Beaver St.
Before locker, I sent my shoes to Dave Page in Seattle. He does good work with La Sportivas.
