yeah man,
Just caught the news on LA Times - Dogtown is barking softly tonight - fak but dude could rip!
__//To skateboarding aficionados, the late Jay Adams was known as the "original seed," one of the most influential skaters in history. But Adams, who died of an apparent heart attack at age 53 on Thursday, also transcended the world of skateboarding by way of the silver screen.
Growing up in a sketchy corner of Venice in the 1970s, Adams became one of the original members of the pioneering Zephyr skateboarding team whose story was chronicled in the documentary "Dogtown and Z-Boys" in 2001 and the biopic "Lords of Dogtown" in 2005.//__

I just picked up a nice bamboo longboard from sector nine with those fancy sidewinder trucks, and wow, so nice...I was commuting on my pool board and it's not comfortable at all, zero flex and shock absorption. I love carving the longboard down the street and it pumps for days.
Here's a pic.
my new Sector Nine shoots on the left, my daughter new custom mini board with indys and bones 100s for learning, and my big pool board on the right with some indys and spitfire classics, all bones swiss...thinking of putting some oust 9's in the longboard though...the mini and my pool board are both local shop decks from Sacramento, we have Surf and Skate (and bekinis) for longboards and stuff and we have Subversion in Oakpark for all the old school punk rock skate scene...
with giant skateparks and cement bowls all over town there's no better time to fall on your ass...I even found a snake run (brand new) in a local park and it's deserted most days..

Been waiting a while to pick it up and it's finally in my hands as it begins to finally rain, in what like 3 years?

E-Yikes never saw this but it takes me back...
squishy,
That's funny - three years of drought and then Heavy rain -
Whizzed on your parade. . .
so a new stout street board will now sit
It makes it easy to pass the 'goodies' across the living room,
from couch to love seat, not for the Bong though, you'll spill that rig.

NICE video post Biotch! Dude's got some serious control. With those speeds there is not even time to get a foot down. At the beginning and end he's at Bodie, right?
Realistically tho, I'm relegated to 10 mph or less for the duration, lmao
