thanks for the images!
the phacelia and primrose are off the hook here, too. seems to be a big year - they are thick as shag carpet in some places these blessed pre-scorch days!

Beautiful Jerry!
That's a neat area, huh? I'm surprised there are that many flowers after our dry year. Must be those last few storms that managed to drop snow on the Whites. TFPU!

JTree wasn't that bad either this year.
Not a big year, but better than you'd expect.

Jerry as always, sweet shots!
I'll be home soon. If you're in the area at all this summer and have time for a visit, swing on by. Shoot me an email. I'd love to connect again.
FYI Kevin is moving to Japan. I'm expecting some interesting images as he explores some of the darker underbelly and brighter sides of that country.
Gene and I remain caged here for a little while longer...
cheers

rgold, was that the 2005 El Nino bloom?
Yes, and it was windy as hell and all I had was my even-then-out-of-date point-and-shoot and a hiking pole to brace it on...argh!
Jeez, nine years went by fast...

Yes it did! That was a crazy cool thing to see. I wish I'd spent more time photographing it. 1998 was even better. Even Zabriskie Point was blooming like mad.
Delhi- Yeah man, lets be in touch and get together. Been a while!

Yeah, like any of us have your eye and/or your skill.
I'll try one. Took this with Tricia two weeks ago behind Santa Barbara:
