My wish is that: Blitzo, you take the time you need to get better, and then I would like to climb again with you & Locker ~ that would be AWESOME! Sending healing vibes, good energy, good thoughts, and thinking of you! ~Catherine.

Blitzo is getting moved to Sky Harbor Care Center in YV later today, still waiting on ETA regarding transport and such but Russ & I will be meeting him there for intake.
We are excited to have him closer to home and perhaps even get him moved to the JT facility soon (preferred facility). But for today's exercise he's aware that he's moving east of Colton and closer to home turf.
I'll bring the various cards & letters that everyone has sent this past week and get him set up with some personal items too. Neebee, can't wait to see the quilt and sure will be cool to get that on his bed. In the meantime, I'll bring him a something to keep him comfortable until the special gift arrives.
It makes sense to keep things mailed and such set to our house. We'll deliver it to him. I'll get a list of rules (if any) that apply regarding to food and such. They already told me no valuables...... which didn't exactly make my heart soar but probably standard practice in facilities like that.
Thanks everyone for being there! I'm sure he'll be excited to see visitors soon!

This is huge news! So glad he will be close by. Both facilities are on the way to where I drop kids off for school so daily visits are easy and we can get his spirits up, which already seem better knowing he is moving.
Just want to give a huge shout out to Sooze for putting in a lot of time and energy in getting Blitzo into the preferred facility in Joshua Tree! You rock woman!!!

Sooze thank you SO much for the updates. I feel so much better knowing Billy will be back in the high desert tonight where he belongs...close to his friends and all who love and care about him. We'll for sure pay him a visit this weekend if his condition is up for it.
Hope that this new chapter back home again and out of Arrowhead will bring a stronger and speedier recovery.
You and Russ are true heroes for looking out for him so well during his arduous journey. True selflessness.

hey there say, soooze... just saw your facebook share, on blitzo..
wow, you must need a good shoulder to cry on, for the relief to finally see blitzo nearer to home, and getting better help...
oh my... inner pressure... :O cry it out, when you can...
love is so good, deep and true, but it needs a good cry, at times, as,
our bodies are so fragile in the light of such a great power as it works
in us...
god bless!!!

It was heartbreaking to see the pictures Susan posted yesterday on Bill's Facebook page.
I am so sorry.

locker, I remember taking that pic of you, Billy and Steve last March, seems like just yesterday. I can't believe it's been almost 6 months.
He seemed to be doing well this winter after that initial round of chemo was successful.
This hit so fast, the mass in his back, the surgeries, then the radiation and then the hypercalcemia/c-diff. Cancer is a bitch.
We're going to visit this weekend in Yucca Valley.
