Buttress resembling a lower-angle version of the Black's 'Rosy Arete/Tourist Route' (sorry no pix of this) followed by a long spiny ridge. We just sort of picked the best-looking rock and followed that.

Rhodo:
that looks like pretty nice rock for the region; could you please be more specific per the location. Is it Mount Powell from the east?
Rock Creek Drainage scrambles? Any specific peak?
Thanks for posting.
Jay:
great idea for a run thanks!

OK. I have no idea where Mt Powell is. Walk up Rock Creek on good trail past the mine, at which point the good trail abruptly ends. Continue to within a mile or so of the head of the drainage, look up and left. You are looking for a jagged ridgeline forming the left side of the drainage. The R margin of this is relatively clean and polished, faces N, about 600' tall. This appeared to me to be the best stone in the place. Some large rock glacier-talus mounds must be crossed to get to the base. Beyond this I don't remember much, except we enjoyed ourselves, the route wasn't too hard, we tried to stay on the R margin over a substantial dropoff to the W, and we descended by running the ridge back towards the car until it turned back into grass and dirt and we dropped in down an easy gully. Good luck!

A good view of some prime Selkirk objectives,
Taken from Remillard Peak's summit,
Looking to the East:
On the left, the large rock objectives of Colossus, Ironman, Austerity, Turret, Adamant Mountain, and Blackfriar.
Just right of center is Mount Sir Sanford.
(11,555).
Below are Ironman Austerity and Turret.
16 to 23 pitch rock climbs.
Ironman is just left of the photo split.
Turret is the longer light brown pillar on the right.
Mount Sir Sanford W Face:

Zardoz,
Thanks for the compliment Bro!
If you like, I will finish this Canadian portion soon and I will start "Part 2" with some more Colorado stuff.
Perhaps you will feel more comfortable sharing your Indian Peaks stuff then?

Sometimes we just fooled around on the glacier:
(Remillard in the distance)
Other Times,
We would just go for a walk, and a look see around:

The Main Event was the Ironman.
Left of the group of buttresses.
16 Pitches of Good Solid Rock.
Maybe 5.10 at the Crux.

Sometimes, when the weather was not so stellar,
And the big things were beyond our reach,
We would contemplate some cragging.
Ah yes, this is better
In foul weather:
Perhaps a little Salsa,
or some other form of dance:
Up rope dope!
And keep that cable tight-
Or there will be no Scotch for you tonight!

Cheers Zardozer!
Tonight I'll lay up some more hippy dippy scramblin' snaps to kick off the second edition ("Rocky Mountain High") and link it to this pup. Yup, this conludes Canada and we're swingin' back down to Colorado.
Over and Out...

I should go scramble a Rocky sometime just so I'd have new photos to encourage Roy's threads.
Scrambles in New England don't have so much sky.
