While on my most recent trip to the valley, I ended up hauling my kit away from the east base in the rain, and well ended up with something I do not want. Along with about five pounds of trash and a couple nice booty items, I found a rope.
The boys were coming down for the season the evening before I decided to pull the plug, with a huge amount of stuff. The rope was laying semi coiled uphill in the talus from the descent, and seeing as I made it out at dark, and there was still quite a pile of stuff on the wall quite high up, I assume that this rope got dropped and missed in the dark.
I came out with the last of my kit the next day and not able to locate you guys in the valley, I did see you in the AM so know you were close by. It was raining, so I recoiled the cord and humped it out with me. I posted on Tommy's FB but no reply. I am not connected climbing celebrity wise, so posting it here is as good as I can do to return something that I do not own, or have any right to keep. Anyone knowing how to contact them, please do pass this along.
The rope is pretty worn and probably not good for much, but the point is I must do my hardest to return it to it's rightful owners. I just won't feel right until this is done.
