Hey Salamanizer, I'm taking you up on your idea to do Entrance Exam, Midterm, Final Exam and Extra Credit all in one day. Lets set up a day to make it happen. Hell, I challenge all of you taco heads in the Bay area to do it too. We'll be the graduating class of 2010.

Who's done all of em? Pics of Final Exam?

One word, Werner.

I'm guessing, but it's a good guess.

HD is a long walk for one pitch and a story.

what Melissa said, get an early start, and go from mirror lake.

Although you'd ideally want the arch routes as warmups, maybe it would be most expedient to start from a bivvy at the base of HD so you can run down the slabs instead of up.

We have to do them in order. Who takes finals before the entrance exam?

^^^^^^^
I am a mule!!!

Besides, it can and will be done.

Entrance Exam can be done in one pitch, so can Mid Term. We'll knock em both off in under an hour. I think you can approach Extra Credit vai simuling one of the Quickie Quizzes and Kindergarten Crack but I'm not really sure. That'd be cool! Actually, nailing the approach and decent of Extra Credit I think will be the crux of the day. Some homework might be in order.

Extra Credit is two pitches, or so the guide says. Probably a sandbag at .10d as well and no doubt gritty. Topo says 5" pro. Which for me means I can lock a knee and stack saving energy. Hopefully similar to the Vendetta size, which is a cake walk for me.

From there it's over to Mirror lake for the long slog up the slabs which will probably take a couple hours. I know the trail well. The Pro is all 2" to 4" so only a few cams will need to be carried up. Our packs will be light. The first pitch says .10d fists, which from past experiences means featureless groveling. The second pitch says "loose .10b and generally avoided", which means I'll have to do it or I'll invalidate the whole day in my mind. Then the long walk back to pizza and beer at the deck or loft.

Sounds promising, lets do it.

It does sound awesome. Do we swap leads, both lead? I feel like if I don't lead em I haven't really done em, but timewise it would be a stretch. 11a/b trad is really pushing for me, so the 10d pitches are by no means a gimme. I'm stoked. Think we can do it Bay area to Bay area in a day?

So Karodrinker and Salamanizer did you graduated - or did you Dropped outs?, ha, ha
Actually it is faking great idea.
To do presumably second ascend for Extra Credit ( approach can be the crux).
And another crux approach to Final Exam. Now with consistent closure or Arch it ruled out spring and leftover is cool days in August until early Oct?
You should add "Drop-out" from Leaning tower base to your list now.

Where is this Extra Credit located? I got a 108/100 on one of my Microbiology tests. I love extra credit.

Where is this Extra Credit located?
Way above and right of the main climbs at Arch Rock.
See p.35 of 1994 Reid guidebook.

I would consider buying an iphone if there was an app to download someone's knowledge. Clint pretty much knows every route/variation/approach in Yosemite and much more. Honestly very impressive.
