Mr. Tom "NASA Supercomputer Project Manager" Cochrane,

What did you have in your Supercomputer complex on Klimmer's Massive Space Ark?

he found my photo on the web, but he neglected to post the ad that goes with it.

might as well do another shameless plug, i'm not proud:

"more songs than you can shake a schtick at"

Tony Bird sings up folk songs, country songs, cowboy songs, songs about trucks, ducks and runamucks, hillbilly songs, city slicker songs, pop, rock, jock, tavern songs, pub songs, sailor songs, Child ballads (not for children), lullabyes (for frazzled parents), children’s songs (for kids and grownups), risquété and ribaldry (for grownups and kids who think they are), love songs, songs that bare the soul, songs that bare the bottom, the funny, sad, bad, for mom, for dad, those who are glad, those who’ve been had, and even for those who are glad they’ve been had.
If you get tired of songs in English, Tony offers (in order of abundance) songs in Italian, Spanish, German, Japanese, Greek, French, and Russian, with a bit o’ schtick as to what they’re all about.

Tony accompanies himself mostly on the acoustical guitar but also makes use of the mandolin, 5-string banjo, autoharp, harmonica, jaw harp, tub bass, and even the violin (not the fiddle, now).
Tony’s philosophy, since he started singing folk music in high school, has been: if a song is worth remembering, learn it—before it gets away.

Tony is a former UCLA university fellow in Folklore and Mythology, where he also worked as research assistant in the Archive of Traditional Music.

I'm dealing with people who are BATSH#T CRAZY here and they want me to give them my name and post pictures of myself. I DON'T THINK SO HOMIE!!! You guys are CRAZY.

Oh, and if there is a conspiracy to hide a 6 mile long alien ark laying on the back side of the moon, Tom Cochrane is in it up to his eyebrows. He is the one touting his NASA credentials, not me.

He is The Man.

Tony is a former UCLA university fellow in Folklore and Mythology,

Folklore and mythology, huh? That explains a lot!

After easily 40 years of climbing, I KNOW that the "races" represented by climbers is damn few. I see white guys almost exclusively. They are almost all "liberal" in some way, but they don't hardly come from anywhere but the white homeland, whatever that is.b And when does a climber make much of his religion? They is all got the white religion, Christianity. There are FEW of the other kinds of climbers.

Maybe that's how things still are in backwoods Idaho, but the rest of the world has moved on.

Tony, I really don't care WHAT you think

au contraire, frère, you care lots and lots. your primary motivation here is to stamp out all the perceived kooky opinions being expressed.

but let's get you on the table, GC. nonclimbers are welcome here, and if you've been posing as a climber, we'll forgive you if you come clean. LEB, a nonclimber and a woman as well, holds her own amidst the abuse of the intellectually inferior. and if she thinks you're loopy, she's polite about it.

on the other hand, if you're embarrassed to death here, as you rightly ought to be, you can disappear and come back as a new troll. however, we'll remember you well. when the clickart avalanche hits, we'll know it's a reincarnation of ol' GC.

(drumming fingers) ... still waiting to hear about GC's climbing on granite.

Very seldom have I ever had an intellectual discussion peer reviewed, Healy. Standing around yelling about how ignorant all the other posters are doesn't make you a respected peer. It makes you a rude jerkoff.

I fully expect considerable disagreement can be had without personal attacks on some bodies employment history. Somewhere.

Hawkspit is one of the worst, never posting a climbing thought, because his identity would be outed immediately, and without his secret identity, he would have nothing.

Not that he has anything with it.

i got a job, how about you? or is it your job to post a bunch of crap on ST? don't you have any wolves to bitch about?

the only thing you know about in your post is being a
a rude jerkoff.

after workin to support your a$$ your wife is prolly too tired to give up the goods...

GC, the technical term for this is ad hominem, which has been your specialty. we're turning it around now. you really have to convince us of some climbing credentials if you expect to maintain credibility dominating these threads the way you do.
