Make the "Recovering"

Legendary American climber, Richard Harrison, one of the original Stonemasters, who did everything from the first free ascent of the Diamond (w/ John Bachar), to spearheading the modern development at Red Rocks, was just released from the hospital after an epic month battling bleeding ulcers, the blood loss being so severe that he spent two weeks in a coma. Doing better now (back in the gym as of today), but good wishes are always good. We don't want to lose this guy.

All the best to you Richard, here's to great health, and a speedy recovery.

We met a very long time ago; over 20 years ago.

Jimmy Dunn, Mark Chapman, and my self had a nice day climbing together.

Fond memories!

Sending you good vibes from Yosemite.

Yikes, close call - glad he's doing better.

I thought from the title this might be about techniques to handle a heinous "rockover" move!

P.S. I think you meant he did the FFA of D1 on the Diamond.
The Diamond was freed earlier by Goss and Logan via a different route.

Best wishes Richard.

Funny, as I clicked this thread the Stonemaster book lay open beside me to that fuzzy shot of you and Largo at an anchor on Valhalla. Killer pants!

Glad you're back in the gym!

All the best,

Yep, Richard sent his representation to the Bridwellfest. His beautiful(and vvvery chiseled)wife, daughter and her friend(who we had to keep Locker at bay)were there and it was all my pleasure to have met them. He as there in spirit and I know Jim enjoyed their visit and words from Richard. Best and speedy recovery to you.
Peace

Thanks for the news about Richard JL. Hadn't seen him around in a couple months and had no idea about his illness. Glad to hear he's doin' better and sending good thoughts for a full recovery.

While I realize his roots are with you So-Cal boys and the original Stonemasters I gotta say that here in Sin City we're proud to have him as one of our "local" legends. It's not easy to touch rock on a cliff face at Red Rock that he hasn't got multiple FA's on. He's been at it for four decades, or so, here and he ain't done yet.

Also, JL and others, could you post up more pictures of Richard if you have them please.
