And there are probably a few who have been stalked here. Few too many nutjobs here to be totally safe and stalk free.

(Also see cougar thread)

Yes. With varying degrees from simply annoying to having my freedom so severely hindered that my life has been permanently altered.

It's not really a joke, to anyone who seriously has had someone refuse to consider your personal and/or emotional boundaries in any way, shape or form.

Bummer, I was afraid of that. Sorry to hear L and Happie.

As the father of two beautiful young girls, I'm terrified of that this world throws at women. I can only hope they're well prepared AND confide in their pappa if things get bad.

A big fat f*#k you! to the stalkers and worse out there.

It's okay - I know it sort of sucks to have a thread that could be funny and lite taken down with a shotgun blast. Sorry, in a way, to have done that. I think there can be both seriousness and silliness within a thread such as this.

I guess there's stalking. And then, there's stalking.

Can't say that its stalking.. but pretty bad situation...

it was a coworker... we'd had lunch a few times along with others who were on the same team...

and exchange of numbers "so I can send you text msgs"...

eventually leading to texts @ 2-3AM, and random calls @ 4-5AM leaving mindless, thoughtless, random stuff....

had to take it to my employer.. now we pass each other like gunslingers at work.....

Just one of the many reasons I'm a frickin shut in....

I sure have.

I did a big addition/remodel fall of 07. Turned out really well. Too well, I guess. The wife/mother shows up at my door a month after the last doorknob to tell me she's in love with me.

This is not a physicaly unattractive woman. But my early years were marred with some like drama, so the last thing I'm going to do is go on a homewrecking adventure. So I wanted nothing to do with it.

For a while I probably tried to be too nice about it because it's still going on! More than a year into it, I finally started being mean. It doesn't work.

I feel really bad for her because she's bat sh#t crazy. I feel bad for her kids.

Almost a year ago, I moved to a town that's a four hour boat ride away. She's been over here 3 times to "try to get through to me".

I'm not in any physical danger, but it's old and she needs help.

I don't know what ratting her out to her hubby would accomplish.

Homo Republican John used to stalk me at the climbing gym (name withheld) until I told him to get lost and he started crying. That's when I realized he really was gay!

I was stalked once in a bar. She made me go home and sleep with her and eventually got over me. True story.....

Not to say that a cyber-stalker wouldn't be a right frightful pisser. I really feel for you females on this one. Even when you speak up almost begging for help, like a young woman did recently here on the Taco otherwise normal dudes were telling her on that thread to STFU and take it elsewhere as they:

A) Didn't want to hear about it.

B) Didn't give a sh#t.

C) Didn't believe her and called this otherwise nice woman a "bitch" for speaking publicly.

Then there were the jackasses who were going for D) all of the above. Total f*#king bullshit from as#@&%es who are wimps and pussies. Right here on ST!

Some of you dudes are such shitheads. If a woman needs help you give it asswipes.

I was stalked all the time when I was tending bar. I called these stalkers "regular customers".

Around here, the Doberman does all the stalking:

Yes- but it only took one 'encounter' with my 250 pound bouncer friend to convince him to skedaddle and not come around any more.

Well, he is 87, and older fellows do develop some odd behaviours.
