Here's a question:

When do you get your boots redone?

I always punch through the rand on shoes I climb inside with, so I never resole them because people say it's too late. When I climb inside it's mostly in 5.10 moc's, and they are pretty streched out by then anyway, but I was wondering what everyone else goes by as far as guaging the time to pull the trigger and resole.

Also- were do you send them?

You should resole before you wear through the rubber, especially the rands. However it can all be fixed.
I use Barrys Resoles 559-855-4511.
Barry does a factory quality job (maybe even better), he usually has a decent turn around time. He is a climber so he knows his stuff.
I've personally had Barry do about 10 resoles! Infact I'll be sending a pair in this week!

Dave Page cobbler in Seattle is the BEST. his resoles are better than the factory original sole. Call an REI for his phone #.

Yo! you can definately have your shoes repaired after you've busted the Rand, it jsut costs a little more ($10/pr?). I sent several pairs to Flyin Bryan McCray recently, and I thought he did a crappy job, but after i spent a few weeks climbing in them (to re-break them in) I found they were great.
