I've been trying not to post all day. That wound gives me the heebie jeebies. Glad you can laugh about it a little bit. Front of your shin has very low vascularity. And if your shins are like mine they're about half scar tissue anyway. Will likely take a long time to heal. ~shivver me timbers~
Take it easy. Enjoy the remaining foosball games. Get well.

I guess Cragman's mommy didn't impress upon him the
importance of not running with scissors. Those power
tools are also dangerous. I do feel your pain,
glad it wasn't broken. Get well!

Cragman - very sorry to see that - I hope it doesn't mess up your winter plans in any way.
Take it easy with the hardware!

It sounds like you need to stop working around the house and do more climbing,
That domestic stuff can be dangerous,
Hope you heal quickly

It has been a rough winter for you cragman.
But at least you aren't in The Central Valley right now, like me. Two weeks of pain then back to the east side.

I took an odd bouldering fall in the gym back in October and tweaked my left heel. Went to the same ortho who cast my other heel when I broke it in 2007. She took x-rays .. no breaks, "just" a bone bruise. She said it would probably take about a month before it stopped hurting. Which was about right.
I mentioned the monopoint incident earlier partly because my left calf has been healing up from a similar, ah, 'encounter' .. good wishes. Mine wasn't as serious, but the ER did give me antibiotics, a tetanus shot, soft-tissue x-rays, copius irrigation, etc. There goes my ppo deductible for the year.

I was on lots of opiate painkillers when I was in the hospital after breaking my neck -- first the hard stuff, then percocet, oxycontin, oxycodone .. they weaned me off it before discharge thankfully.
That stuff depresses your digestion which I guess is the cause of the constipation and they had me taking stool softeners as a result. Nasty stuff really.
Hope your infection goes away soon !

Redness and heat "fire" equals infection. I am sure you are aware of this.
Sorry to here about the difficult turn of events. The weather should be OK tomorrow I hope, don't miss the opportunity to see the Doc if things don't improve!
Praying things will improve.
Sincerely, Trip~

Yikes! That looks bad. Watch that infection, those suckers can get real serious in a matter of hours, not days!
Keep an eye and make sure you don't start to run a fever. If so, off to the ER you go.
Take care.

So Dude, how you do-in? Infection/pain under control? Did you see the Doc today, or was it not necessary?
Hope your feeling better!
Peace, Trip~
EDIT: Just noticed you might be kinda busy elsewhere! Don't let any of it interfere with a good nights sleep!!
