TROs set up legal boundary lines only, but are necessary to pursue issues later should the behavior continue and the boundaries be crossed.
Physical security boundaries are different. do what you need to do to be safe.

Sadly that's the problem - you can't reason with an irrational person.
Get a R.O. to protect yourself. Then if it escalates it's easier to stop it....or get some of the taco crew together and we'll manage the problem for you.

Restraining orders work, although sometimes they feel like they don't. Start by documenting EVERYTHING and making police reports, even if they are for documentation purposes only. Some officers will try to get out of writing a simple report, but don't let them. Demand it and go higher on the food chain if need be.
If you get one and it is violated, call the police and have them taken to jail, even if it's only for the night. At the least demand a report be written. A legal paper trail is the best thing to have on your side in court. It's best to get a notebook specifically for documentation. Keep track of dates, times, what happened and any police report or incident numbers generated. I can't tell you enough to document everything!

PS the most common report is under 653 (m) of the California Penal Code. Annoying or threatening phone calls. Google it, learn it, so the officers know you know.
