Bikers on footpaths suck.

So do whiner threads like this one.

IF you can wait about 30 days, the political threads will mostly die, except for Farttrad's incessant moaning and groaning about the clash of civilizations.

I said 30 days cause of course there will be a lot of bitching about who wins and loses, so just keep your pants on for thirty days.

As for why serious climbing related threads, even threads about NEW stuff or accident reports, or things that could actually help climbers climb better or safer, don't get more posts, it MUST be because people are not that intersted in them.

I'm not happy abotu that either, but that's how how thigns are.

Even though this is allegendly a climbing site, apparently climbers will talk about what they want, not what you think they should.

Better get over that.

Wow! A $50,000 fifth wheel? Post the link to that photo - that thing must be WAY tricked out!

Coincidentally, we just bought a fifth wheel for far less than half that amount (guess ours is a pile in comparison to the 50k one). Because we spent a lot of time researching light weight fifth wheels (and purchased the smallest made - 24') we only get one to two mpg less than we do in the truck and topper. And surprisingly, in many cases, using the fifth wheel offers a savings for us. Instead of multiple short trips, we can make one trip and stay out longer. Pretty cool, eh? I agree with you about noisy generators as well - they are obnoxious. That is the main reason we don't have one and are instead installing solar panels.

You should try one, you might like it...

And Mike…rather than the “going to a bar analogy,” a better one might be walking over to someone’s campfire, where there is an ongoing conversation and interrupt the group “spraying” about the climbs you did that day.

Melissa - no no, it's just a little trad line on Herring Creek Dome called The Teacher :) The pic is from Labor Day.

Thanks for the good wishes ... I was in Yosemite a few weeks ago and led Sloth Wall (5.7) and the second pitch of Munginella (5.6, we did it in three pitches that day).

Context for the OP and other such folks: I'm a recovering incomplete quadriplegic .. broke my neck in 8/2007 in a car accident, spinal cord bruise, paralysis, halo, titanium implants in my neck, wheelchair, etc. But as luck would have it I am climbing again, so you can kiss my grits ! :D

It’s interesting typing up a post then coming back to it. Lame little insults from people like Greg (steelmonkey) and MisterE.

You know guys, there is no rule that you HAVE to type something. You aware of that?

At least Crimper had a good response defending her camper with the use of solar panels (and yes, they do work well...I own a few. It always amazes me how they draw power even when it is cloudy out).

Fat do you mean,” You seem to be the fascist for deriding peoples choice of vehicle or their joy in sharing the new experience with friends via this forum. And a fascist for attempting to limit our conversations. You must goose step very well, likely that you don't climb well,”?

For someone that seems to pride themselves on the understanding of politics and political definitions your post didn’t make sense.

Uh chris2, you really need to get a clue. The route is Leave It To Beaver, it's to right of Clean & Jerk. It does not end at a two bolt anchor. The person who "died" on that route ran and jumped off the top.

You might want to change your Location from The Gunks to the idiot pile.

Chris2 - I spend an embarrassing amount of time here when I'm not out playing/climbing/biking. (It used to be worse, trust me!)

It's perfectly okay if we disagree on the RV thing. I'm sure we have far more in common than not. I will say that The Cougar is a great 'piece of climbing gear' for some locations and types of trips we take. And for those trips we'll use it happily. For others, we sleep on the ground (see, for example, our recent poorly selected train-track-side bivy in Utah), we car camp in my Matrix (e.g., see our recent trip to Sagehen Summit, or the many, many trips to Kentucky and Tennessee), tent camp (e.g., see our recent trip to City of Rocks and Yosemite) or we use the Pop-up camper (e.g., see our last trip to Indian Creek, Courtright Reservoir, the Needles and Tuolumne).

If you ever see us out at one of the many places we are lucky enough to get to go to and spend a lot of time, come by and join us for a margarita happy hour in the Cougar. I promise not to blow any of my drink through my nose. :)

For jaysus effing sake. You people have no f*cking clue. I do, and I am feeling generous. So here it is: it was Colonel Mustard, in the Ballroom, with the Candlestick.

For the record.....

I was practicing yoga one morning when along came Jingy with a camera. He started to shoot me practicing. Should I have stopped practicing? Asked him to get lost? Please advise.

Later that day happie came along and shot some more shots of me. Should I have mooned her to get her to scatter?

Fast forward to after we all got home from Yosemite. Jingy sent me the images. He asked if I'd post them as he couldn't. Others requested that I post his shots. I did.

Yoga might be a deeply personal thing to you but to me it's something I want to share with others - in particular I want to share yoga with them on the mat. A number of folks that morning said how they were inspired to see me practiced and voiced that they to should do some yoga.

But alas... by not telling them to get lost and by then later fulfilling the request to post the images I'm nothing but a spray lord. But that's ok... Oh and just one more thing....

LOOK AT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CAN TOUCH MY FEET!!!

EDIT: by the way.... it was really cool to see the photos for my person edification. There are subtleties in my practice that I'd never notice unless I saw the shots Jingy took. My elbows elevate when doing Viprita Chakrasana which isn't good alignment.

Way to go Nature. I knew you weren't hyping yourself. And I agree, photos can help you see things in your postures that you wouldn't otherwise.

Not that I can do any of those poses, but Eric..AKA Nanook started teaching yoga in Wawona this summer and it is really helping my back and strengthening my leg.

Keep up the good work.

I dig ALL the photos people share. Climbing, bikes, vans, pets - and even yoga - I like all of it. I suppose to some people who haven't gotten to 'know' the characters here, some things could appear to be very 'look at me me me'. Hanging around a while presents a very different picture.

Supertopo is a great place. :)

BTW Nature, I notice that in the following pose that your elbows were relaxed. I believe you have this posture perfected!

That was pretty funny.... Aldude wouldn't sit in my massage chair. I guess he had something against artificial stimulation. Good thing he's not a woman.
