Thanks, Curt! It is very seasonal - I may be up in alpine meadows next weekend, and if so will try to take some flower pictures. Possibly a new skill. Although we still have a lot of snow, even on the local mountains.
Edit: The snow is on the mountains, not in the city. Down to about 1,200 m on south facing slopes, 1,000 m on north facing slopes.

SNOW??? It's hot as Hades here. Left this one out. I have more, but I shot em in Kodak's idiot proprietary RAW format, .kdc, and the only program I have that converts em crashes when I try to make a jpg, DOH!

Really nice!
It's hard to tell, but the background looks as if those are growing wild on the forest floor. Are they from your garden, or do you have wildflowers like that where you live?

we live in the woods, but that is a flower garden on the edge of the vegetable garden. The woods are about 5 feet away. Lillies must grow wild somewhere, but these are cultivated, and I'm pretty sure the particular varieties in the pics are human bred.

WHOA thanks Jerry.
ANd JTM posted a pic of ARTICHOKES in bloom, LOL!
Ed, is that your refurbished bargain high ender again? That thing is incredible.
Looks liek I will make it to another spring, and this time we will ahve a LOT of lillies to take pics of. Built ( well I designed, mexicans built it since I'm sick) a huge lilly bed. It's about to be full of bulbs.

There is a very slight chance that some late arriving ( and thus late in the ground) fall blooming saffron crocuses will still bloom, within the next two weeks if at all, although I have no idea how I will get down to the ground to take any pics of em.
As for feeling, I feel good and bad. It's a choice between less pain ( this sh#t really does hurt, I still need a lot of drugs) and more drugginess ( sleep all the time, act stupid, can't do shyte).
Currently I'm leaning towards going back to more drugs, LOL. Been trying the lower dose for 5 days, and I'm not sure the extra pain is worth the slight increase in coherency and thinking ability.
I gotta get though the next month to really have anything good, but things are SO much better than before surgery, if I had to stay where I am now, only with the tubes gone, I'd have to consider myself lucky. That tumor had wrapped around a LOT of stuff, and was causing all sorts of problems in addition to the main issues of obstruction/constriction of the small bowel.
Well anyway, I think I will try to organize the planting chart for the lillies. gotta keep the tall ones in back and the short ones in front, and spread em out by bloom time too, ya know.

Man. Thats a tough one. I guess if you're feeling the pain you know you're still alive. Perhaps you can find some tough young rednecks to carry you out to the flower beds, Frida Kahlo style, so you can take pictures. I can see it now. Where's Ouch! when you need him?

Hey, you all, these photos are beautiful! Would anyone be willing to let me copy them from this site and make a flower page on mine, in the nature photo gallery? We could have a sweet page to display your photographic (and gardening) talent.
You don't have to do any work other than give me your permission as well as tell me how you wish your name credit to appear.
Thanks for considering!
