I don't bolt sh#t....found new good bolders 5 minutes from my house...TM style granite with knobby aretes, good stuff, the only pix I have are sans climber, cuz no one here bolders...I won't torment you with the new stuff from last weekend, since the Nogan is far from Davis.
nature style edit: i'm not outside cuz i'm supposed to be doing my last two years taxes and hopefully avoiding a prison term. plus i have to get my snowtires off today to avoid a ticket. just two more examples of the man trying to keep a brother off the rocks....

Here's the problem. Connect Warren Harding and Royal Robbins chronologically by route and or formation ending in 1966. All of these routes are FAs or FFAs.
1961 Warren Harding climbs West Face of Leaning Tower. His partners are Al McDonald and Glen Denny.
1962 Glen Denny climbs the Dihedral Wall in the company of Ed Cooper and Jim Baldwin.
Jim Baldwin climbs the left side of Delectable Pinnacle. Warren Harding and Brian Small climb the right side of Delectable Pinnacle. Art Gran and Eric Beck climb the center route.
1963 Eric Beck and Glen Denny climb Capt. Hook right. The FFA is done two years later by Tom Gerughty and Chris Fredericks.
1964 Tom Gerughty, Chuck Pratt and Frank Sacherer do the FFA of Crack of Despair. Additionally, Chris Fredericks climbs the Sacherer-Fredericks on Middle Cathedral Rock with Frank.
1965 Frank Sacherer and Gordon Webster climb the Dromedary.
1966 Gorden Webster, Terry Burrell and Royal Robbins do the first complete ascent of the Triple Direct of Reed's Pinnacle.
End of this madness. Interesting project. Hard to believe it all came down to a few little chips at the base of El Cap.

Sh#t, I'm only one degree from Richard Simmons.
I was in Kiev when I was 12. I was riding down an elevator with my older brother. The elevator was full. The door opens on an intermediate floor. Richard simmons is standing there. In his most flamboyant richard simmons voice he exclaims 'Oh my god! It's packed like sardines in there!!" He didn't get in.
The door closed and we all started cracking up.
I'm one degree from Kurt Cobain, and one from Courtney Love. I met the medical examiner who did Kurt's autopsy. he said Courtney didn't kill him, and that she was cool. A year later he died in a BASE accident in Switzerland.
I don't know about 6, I can't count that high.

I have always wondered about every climber on earth pulling down on the same holds on the Nose or something. Everyone in history has pretty much done that one: grabbed the same holds as everyone from Messner to whomever.
Other times I can't believe that I am yet again in the XYZ space that I was years before..out in the middle of nowhere.
Like I visited the jungle room at Graceland once.
This can get kind of weird...

I bet most of us on this forum have only one or two degrees of sepperation due to the way we whore arround with our climbing partners. lets see, My CurrentGF dropped a rope on JBs head 25yrs ago. I have roped up with Charlie Gray, Michale Kennedy, Masho, Alex Spencer and a few other westerners. Then there all the folks you meet at the campgrounds and on the cliffs. Charlie and I shared some red wine and a campsite on the Colorado river with Edward Abby back arround 86.
Lots of cool stuff happens in this life.
