I have posted some of these before so, please excuse the repeats. There is only one Woman I climb now.
It all started here..
When she got a bit taller, she carried my pad (isn't that why I had her?)
She has met some better climbers than her dad!
...and started leading on her own.

maybe too dark for the steelmnkies:
Monkey Man - Rolling Stones
Im a fleabit peanut monkey
All my friends are junkies
Thats not really true
Im a cold italian pizza
I could use a lemon squeezer
What you do?
But Ive been bit and Ive been tossed around
By every she-rat in this town
Have you, babe?
Well, I am just a monkey man
Im glad you are a monkey woman too
I was bitten by a boar
I was gouged and I was gored
But I pulled on through
Yes, Im a sack of broken eggs
I always have an unmade bed
Dont you?
Well, I hope were not too messianic
Or a trifle too satanic
We love to play the blues
Well I am just a monkey man
Im glad you are a monkey, monkey woman too, babe
Im a monkey
Im a monkey
Im a monkey man
Im a monkey man
Im a monkey...

Disclaimer for SteelMonk photo of Skyline. Please note the TERRIBLE placement off and right. I placed that piece as I hung out on the ledge as the Monks party of 3 rapped the route. Next thing you know............DRAG MAN, THE DRAG IS A DRAG all the way to the summit. Had to coil the rope up in my hands and blast from the top. UGGH!
Beige Pants aka Tan Slacks, keep the family photos comin'! They bring a smile to my face. All the photos of my daughter are on paper (no scanner) and she hasn't gotten on a cord in nearly 10 years. I'll live though you and Jaybro from now on!

I think they do Nefarius, but without the EB's.
While I was posting that pic up, I was laughing because Sue looks like a little fairy child there, almost out of this world.
Lisa looked over my shoulder (Lisa knows Sue well) and said:
"Jeez, she looks like a Little Rubber Doll !"

Yes Mimi,
Sue has, by her own werds "zero testosterone",
She Ain't got guns,
And she refuses to wear tight shoes, thus the mongo EB's.
We were doing Digital Extraction on the Devils Tower,
Like 11d, she's following and with er 14 foot legspan stem, she just dropped both arms and yawned at the crux.

I'm sure I was back then. Most incredulous.
You certainly weren't a Hallmark card of passive trust yourself back in the day! heh-heh
Might as well add this one. LOL!! We topped out and stashed our gear and zipped down the East Ledges. Don't take the Tamarac Flat trail, do the East Ledges even if you're way over to the west. Should've remembered that but it was suggested by someone and we didn't check it out better. We came back a couple days later to carry the gear out. Way too long a walk with bags. Brutal. It was totally worth the trek though as we lay on our backs near the lip tied in around the waists watching a peregrine hovering about 50 feet above our heads and riding thermals blasting up the face. He looked down at us wondering what was up.

Cool! I wish we'd had more time to spend there, but it was a little hectic trying to squeeze in the Dacks, NH, ME and a party in southern NH into a week and a bit.
This was us at the top of Moby Grape, last Tuesday. Did you see all the bear scat around? A fellow we caught rope soloing (and incorporated into our group) said he'd actually seen the bear down on the talus field a few days earlier. It was about all I could think about while belaying down at the bottom, though you have to figure blackberries are probably tastier than I am...

Allison took this photo from atop pitch 3, so the bear's kinda tiny. I'm assuming the bear's a she, so I can post her in this thread. ;)

A cool tiny she-bear. And I believe that this bottom-heavy chipmunk who just ate someone's sandwich is also a she.
