I'm not convinced Ron will catch locker.
locker started late as well, January 9, 2005. His overall average is 12.4 posts per day.
Ron started March 18, 2009 and his overall average is 12.3 posts per day. An alarming trend is that he does seem to be getting more prolific as time goes on. I did a quick count of just last week and he is up to 25.7 posts a day. Maybe it's just a surge for the holidays?

You don't have to go back 20 post at a time. After the point you get to your posts and have gone back 20 you just change the number 20 in the web address to what number you want to see.
Edit.
Yes, it is dumb. I did look for a prior post...
I also like most of lockers and Jaybro's posts. Ron's not so much and I mostly just skim them. His animal mounts are fantastic!

Polonius always gave such great advice. This is my 196th post and that, to me, feels like too many (maybe cuz I tend to spew forth bulls#!t).
However, Polonius also said, "To thine own self be true," and among those furious-fingered Taco-typists are a number of fine examples of this maxim.

You should add the fallen like Rokjox and LEB. We should accept history and reality, to get the full lessons of it.
I'm over 15,000 (been a slacker about it lately) Of course some people post a sentence or two like Fatty and some write more per post. Probably wouldn't be easy to figure that.
Thinking I wrote something and pressed Post over 15,000 times. Some of them were researched or accompanied with pictures. Dang, It's like a leak in the roof, over time the drips add up to a lot.
I probably could have done something else but I've been blessed with the connections I've made through this community

For Ron's true number of posts, add Ron's and Apogee's together.
Are you saying that Ron created Apogee, or vice versa? They are both becoming classic to me, and inseparable. Batman and the Joker, Tarzan and itchy, burning jungle rash.
If Apogee exists only in Ron's mind, then get Ron that professional help quick.
I do have to say Apogee is very consistent. Why??
I am new here, someone please explain.

So, what exactly is your point, Ron? Besides demonstrating to the ST community that you have been doing some actual internet stalking?
And leaving a clear path of evidence along the way? You really should be more careful than that.

If trip reports are your primary metric, then I believe that you would be missing out. Tarbuster only has 4 trip reports, but I always look forward to when he participates. I don't believe Ouch had any trip reports, but he was one of the funniest contributors to this forum. Plenty of other people like that. Jello only has 3 trip reports. To me the primary thing is can you bring positive energy to the forum. Share some stoke about climbing, living, the outdoors, building, dogs, surfing, cooking.. whatever.. with the primary emphasis on climbing and how all of that plays together. Maybe even bigger is experience. Have you lived large? Then please, come and share your experience. Susan beat cancer. That is tremendous. She is living large to me.

To me the primary thing is can you bring positive energy to the forum
For me, the primary thing is bringing INTERESTING things. I don't care if you're a world class a-hole if you bring interesting things to the table.
I don't trust relentlessly positive people. Figure they are either mildly retarded, on prescription drugs, or in a religious cult.

El Cap, you're being too modest. Not only are your trip reports first rate, but your "OT" comments also add greatly to my enjoyment of this forum -- even if I usually argue against them.
Thus, I would add you to the list of those with an exceptionally high s/n ratio, not to mention DMT, Ed Hartouni, Micronut, Peter Haan, Jstan, Guido, Pellucid Wombat, Mark Hudon, and many others I'm overlooking due to my current distracted state.

If Jaybro was referring to me, my post count went with me when Jello dubbed me.
But I will likely fall out of the top ten soon as I spend far less time here.
It seems that the ugliness is incessant, and as I said in my five figures on the taco thread (which Clint should have listed) this place is a monumental waste of time.
The taco is becoming passe.
I've been getting out more, and last tuesday shot a 3/4" group with a .308 @ 100 yds.
I'm not climbing hard any more, but doesn't mean I can't still improve in one athletic pursuit.

A better, more interesting comparison would be the date these people came to ST
+1
but i would take the words " more interesting' out of the above quote.
case in point.
Ron Anderson probably had close to, or above 30,000 posts when he got the ax, and he was way late to the party...Posting well over 20 times per day..sometimes 30 times and more.
Munge climber has been on the taco a long time, and he really does not post that much.

Can you add the 'joined' date to that list?
That would provide interesting perspective.

hey there say, apogee... hee hee, most likely you will, :))
i been so busy lately, having to get up EARLY for to help my
older friend, and now, for watering summer plants, in my
yard, that i have the ol' taco post, down:
to the ol' 'hit and run' ...
so i can go to sleep...
and you know:
when you READ less, you post less...
but at least, i get a FEW thoughts in, still...
:))
wow, did not even know that i made the list, :)

OK, I'll do one. Locker comes in at over 11 posts per day on average.
Edit; Looking over stuff I figured Locker had a lock on the post per day at 11.1......but, I was wrong. Mouse comes in at 11.8 posts per day average. Think that one will be hard to beat.

Seems like there's hardly anyone left here, so competition is getting fierce! Or less fierce. Hard to say.
I sometimes wonder for myself how many times I can say the same thing over and over again, and the answer always seems to be a lot of times!
Best to you ST survivors.

A more interesting abstraction, but impossible to actually count,
would be Most Quality, not Most Quantity.
Where each useless post subtracts from your quality score.
By that logic you might say Chief on the old climate threads was batting about -99 (minus 99 out of 100)
However on second thought, maybe it was all a big educational lesson in how to deal with contrary people. So in some cases useless posts are useful?
