You could find a local welding shop.

You can probably buy some sort of metal box at the hardware store.....maybe even a mailbox would work, have a hinged latch added so you can lock it, and chain it to the stand.

Or, build a slot onto the actual wood stand, and have the bucket underneath it, and you open up the back of the stand(hinged door with a lock), and get it out from there.

A local welding shop would very likely be cheaper than buying them ready made, if you had the plans already. Couldn't be too hard to sketch out what you need.

Hey Russ,
Now why would Lois know what a Casino Table Drop looks like?
(no offense Lois)

And did someone say "Pipe"?
Charles?

And Lois, this is why Haapppygrrrl can live off the land when gas goes to $40 a gallon and you say she can't.

Good luck with your project.
(I knew Juan could come through for real...)

I always assumed those things were made by local welding shops. I'm googling that website I mentioned, it was a guess based on robinhood, the cost of gas, and all;'from those who can get a tax benifit to those who need to feed the kids'.

As I said Lois, good luck; this is a great crew we fraternize with I agree.

And I have no idea what a casino drop looks like either.

LEB, you buy the chips from the dealer and they put your cash in the slot.

Leb, you are spot on with all your thoughts, especially the tax for the poor.
Yes, the dealer has his own slot.

1. Go to the Army surplus store, get a lockable steel ammo box. About $10
2. Go to hardware store, but some chain and two locks. About $10
3. Get slot cut in top of ammo box either by you, or anyone with a cutting torch or chop saw with a metal cutting disc (you could even do it with a metal cutoff blade on a angle grinder) free or minimal cost.
4. One lock on ammo box, one lock on chain securing box to nearest stationary object...tree, car, etc.

Lois,
Try searching "Depository Safe" or "Pipe Depository Safe"

Or better yet, give the National Park Service a call. If you are near a campground with a a cylinder type drop box, take a digital picture of it and take it with you to a welder.

this is a nice example of thread drift allowing a bunch of us to have a regular conversation; pretty much same folks in the room, with the topic shifting. no need for a separate thread which might fracture the sponaneity.

I agree with your premise of the grasp of stats lois.
(not that i really have one, but i get the gist for sure)
I also feel that lottery harbors a false hope in people, puts their sense of destiny outside of themselves and their money as well. Its always better to look internaly for prosperity and then cultivate it.
