It has already been agreed that the Emperor will be waterboarded at the FaceLift. (Wineboarded, if he provides the wherewithal.) However, the goal will be the opposite of the usual - we want him to STOP talking.
Alternatively, we'll make him eat sushi until he appreciates nature's cuisine, and gives him a "McCain-Clinton '08" tee shirt.
He'll be getting off lucky - the fascists whom Juan blithely refers to, who killed tens of millions, including hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens, weren't so dainty.

In proper Yosemite tradition the waterboarding should be done with whole milk and continued until Fatty pukes or agrees to burn his RNP membership card while singing "March of the Volunteers."
You do realize that volunteering for the gov't is super socialist, don'tcha Fatty? If the park service was worth keeping then people would pay enough to hire people to do that work.

Hey Lost Arrow your colonoscopy revealed where you misplaced that piton.
"Hitler like". WTF?
It is the Bush family that had ties with Hitler and the Nazis.
Where do you get any link with Obama? Time to get your head out of your piton holder.

Jeff, your contrarian point-of-view to the political popularity of the putative democratic presidential candidate is completely ridiculous, and extremely offensive.
While you can point to the similarities of any political party's public, mass meetings, you cannot legitimately equate the parties beliefs and philosophies by the appearance of similarity.
The abominations of the Nazi party, the content of those public meetings (that took place over multiple years, not just one) and the subsequent actions of Germany as a state should never be trivialized in the manner you have in this post, to make your point that enthusiastic supporters of a hugely popular candidate are one and the same as those at the Nazi rallies in Germany.
You can make a much more nuanced argument regarding your fear of "group think" then the ad hominem argument you use here.
I, for one, am offended by both your thread title and your opening post. It is highly inflammatory rhetoric, way beyond what is called for, and all for your own pleasure of trolling.
My normal course of ignoring stupid trolling posts is overwhelmed by my feeling to speak out against this sort of comparison, especially given the record of history on this matter.
What happened in Germany in the 1930s and 40s was not trivial.

Well yeah, that's Batten's MO and always has been. There is one solution: Never reply to the drivel. Or as the kids say "don't feed the trolls"

Today my letter was published in our local paper. Associating a black man with Hitler?
Please.
Two years ago several young men were apprehended for spray painting swastikas on local buildings. When questioned as to why they choose to deface personal and public property with the symbols of Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich, the perpetrators claimed that they did not realize the severity this symbol of hate, racism and genocide has in our democratic society. Our community does not tolerate the acts of hate crime and, hopefully, the young men learned a lesson about being civil and respecting history.
Two Sundays in a row our fellow citizens have submitted letters to the editor in which the pen was used to paint people who do not share their conservative views as representative of the Third Reich. Mr. Comstock on the 17th of August compared Presidential candidate Obama to Adolf Hitler, followed by Mr. Laidig who on the 24th of August associated Mr. Ekey of The Wilderness Society to Hitler’s propaganda minister Dr. Goebbels. To compare two citizens of the United States, one an African American and the other an advocate for wild places, to the genocidal fascist regime of Hitler is no different than painting swastikas on someone’s garage. I doubt either of these men, one national and one local, has anything except contempt for the brutality unleashed by Hitler from 1933 to 1945.
Under our right of free speech Mr. Comstock and Mr. Laidig feel it is justifiable to tar and feather people who do not share their political views with the darkest chapter of the 20th century. Did your grandmothers and pastors fail to instill a sense of decency?

Stuff white people like #47: Comparing people to hitler
Being a truly advanced white person means being able to speak with authority about pretty much any field of conversation- especially politics. In order for white people to streamline the process of knowing everything, all human beings can be neatly filed into one of two categories: People I Agree With, and People Who are Just Like Adolf Hitler.
Comparing people to Hitler is an easy way for white people to get a strong point across to the less enlightened, or the insufficiently white. Everyone knows who Adolf Hitler was. And everyone knows that Hitler was very, very bad. Therefore, if a white person really, REALLY, doesn’t like something or
someone, he or she may angrily say something to the effect of, “This is exactly the same kind of thing that Hitler used to do!” accompanied by varying levels of profanity based on blood-alcohol content. No matter what your gut reaction may be at that point, do not disagree with that white person. Otherwise, well, you love Hitler.
This time-tested white-person maneuver may seem so awesomely useful to you that you are tempted to go out and try it right now. Not so fast. White people have spent the last 30 years perfecting this technique. There are cultural guidelines.
It’s also critical that you avoid the fatal mistake of getting creative and comparing people you don’t like to other evil dictators, such as Joseph Stalin or Fidel Castro. With few exceptions, white people are actually fond
of almost any dictator not named Hitler, and your remark that “this is just like something Mao Zedong would do” will be met with blank stares and possible social alienation. This is because, with the exception of Hitler,
oppressive dictators share a passion for many of the things white people love- such as universal health care, conspiracy theories, caring about poor people while being filthy rich, and cool hats. Stick to the script and
compare things you don’t like to Hitler, and Hitler alone.
Now, like most reasonable people, you might find this strategy distasteful, and even a bit disrespectful, since after all, Hitler was responsible for the deaths of tens of millions, and probably doesn’t have that much in common with Pat Robertson, in perspective. If you prefer to avoid hearing or using the Hitler technique, we recommend you speak in soothing, affirming tones around angry white people to prevent the phenomenon from manifesting, and change the subject tactfully. To something that doesn’t involve George
W. Bush.

Fatrad, do you recieve e-mails from RNP stating the hot buttons to push regarding your opponent? ie. "he's going to deliver a Messianic type speech".
I hear the Republican spokes-people repeat these phrases over and over. I remember from the last election a report on how they carefully study these word phrases on rooms full of people to scientifically record their reaction.
Post one up, please.
Conrad, that is a very thoughtful letter.
GDavis: Nice post, this thread has sparked some smart comments.

Conrad,
I thank you for that great letter and so does my mother, the soul survivor of a once large family of intellegent hard working people, who were murdered by Hitlers regime. Not one of them survived except for a twelve year old girl who came to America and thrived. I imagine Lost Arrow is trolling and will not respond to his OP.
Conrad, Thanks again and if you have the time I would love to know what paper your letter was in.

Lost Arrow is just like Stalin. I have no idea what the connection is but what the heck - it sounds good. Who says I have to make sense.
Oh yea, did you hear; McCain was humping whores in Hanoi when he was putatively a POW. At least that's the latest scuttlebutt around here. Hope the truth comes out (after the election that is if not true.) But either way smear away, this is democracy in the 21st century. Shock/Faux TV will lead the way to American ignominy. . .

Maybe everyone who is incensed over the title of this thread should reflect back on what many on this site have said about Bush, Chaney and Rove in the past. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. It's all over the top but in line with what's gone in the past so why the outrage? Look back on what was said about Tony Snow when he died; it was repulsive. In other words, stuff your being offended.
