All of your pressure has payed off. I just got word that Crimpergirl will be rolling up her sleeves and cleaning up the Park at the Facelift. Nature, I would like you to set aside a little bit of sushi for her pleasure as she won't be here till the 27th. I will take care of whatever payment is needed. Also , I should mention that I may be adding to the evening programs on September 28th and 29th with the Hubers new El Cap film to compliment the Timmy O'Neil show on the 28th and Tommy Caldwell's show on the 29th at the East Auditorium behind the Visitor Center. How about that for news?

Mighty, are you the only other one up this late? Will I hear from you on the 21st or 22nd? I could use a little help on those days but will not try to cut into your climbing time. Looking forward to seeing you again! Thanks for all your help.

Whot am I? Chopped Liva?

By Tuesday or so Anders said he will have his plans assured.

I have shelved any intention of climbing. Consider me, though absent any skills, available.

I will be in the evening of the 21st either with Anders or on the 8PM YARTS.

Edit:
I had to wait 40 years for a chance to use that phrase. Finally!

JStan, I have had no doubts about you as you are the most solid partner anyone could ever wish for. That is why I put you in the same campsite. I need you both to help me. Mighty wasn't sure he could make it and it sounds really good now. I am looking forward to spending more time with you both. I will see you on the 22nd and I hope you like sushi. I may have to give you a raffle prize for being the most conscientious participant ever. Crimpie so far, will be the most traveled last minute participant. Fishy will be the furthest as he is coming from from Switzerland with his family. By the way, I told Robbins and Frost that you will be there and they are looking forward to seeing you again.

You still have those E.B.'s we talked about? Are you bringing your bagpipes?

Yay! I can't wait. Plus, I can see no better way to spend my b'day than with fellow-tacos in Yosemite. :)

I will be in Fresno at about noon on Thursday the 27th and will need to fly out of same on the following Tuesday at about 3pm. Any carpooling possibilities?

Sushi will be set aside for the honorable crimpie.

Thursday night will be another sushi event. I'm not trying to make it a big one but if that happens than cool!

I'm bringing in a 20lb fillet of Big Eye out of Honolulu for this event. That's a lot of fish. Plus there is the organic shrimp, smoked yellowfin tuna, Unagi, squid (for june bug nigiri), and some other goodies. I'll probably have enough sushi supplies to feed 100 people.

There will also be sushi saturday night as Jaybro is making his appearance then.

At this point if you want in on the sushi just drop me an email and let me know. I can wait until I get there to collect funds.

YAY FOR CRIMPIE!

Ken: I was considering making a donation of two nights for two to a future (any) sushifest. What do you think of that idea?

Ken: Thanks for the NPS contact information. Details on my plans to follow this afternoon. All going well, I'll be there and available (spear carrier? gopher?) from Friday evening onward, and will meet John in Merced and bring him with me.

Doug: When will you arrive at Yellow Pines next Tuesday? Perhaps a few invited guests should have some complimentary sushi?

Callie: My schedule probably won't help in terms of offering you a ride.

Nita:

It's win-win. Either the fish keeps that long and one gets to eat yummy sushi, or it doesn't and one can quickly improve their weight-to-strength ratio.

p.s. The fish has always been fantastic at the fests. Nature has it wired with some monster coolers and obviously rockin' packing techniques.

Ken, I would be glad to lend a hand if you need one. I will be in the Valley Monday. Let me know.

Nature, you're killin' me with that list! I may have to get sushi tonight just to slake my sushi appetite until then.

Glad you are coming, Crimpie!

They say the shelf life of fresh raw fish is 7 to 10 days. It starts to lose color after about a week.

I don't expect I will have any raw Big Eye left over for Saturday for Jaybro but I don't see any reason why it won't be good on Thursday.

If I recall correctly we were eating the Big Eye 12 days after I got it in last sushifest. The color had changed but the taste and texture were the same.

MisterE: I did a cater last night and ate sushi all day long. Woooo! Lot's of haughties hanging around the sushibar :)

Nita: Here's a good site on hawaiian fishes http://www.hawaii.gov/dbedt/seafood/bigeye.html

An epidemic of food poisoning is KNOTT part of the FaceLift plans. Doug will take care of the input end, in terms of sanitation for the sushifest. And there'll be some SERIOUS dish washing happening. Clean hands + clean dishes = happy campers.

When I have to deal with the Health Department people I find they are rather impressed with my knowledge and how I approach sanitations, etc. IT's kinda scarey that they note it because they often state they find others don't take, or know to take, some of precautions I take.

If it helps I'm 6' tall weigh in at 155 lbs and have a hat size of 7 1/2.

Missed this one edit: "Doug: When will you arrive at Yellow Pines next Tuesday? Perhaps a few invited guests should have some complimentary sushi?"

Yeah, I'll get in at some point on Tuesday - probably by noon or earlier if possible. There certianly is room for complimentary sushi for a few invited guests. Send me a list of names if you have any.
