Here's Walter and Nicky, two of the best buds a guy can have. Let's see all those great pooches out there.

This is not a dogs at the crag thread so don't go there.

Penny, left, and Jasper, far right. The guy in the middle just showed up one winter, and he started changing days later. Really, he became unrecognizeable, so we had to put him down.

Mike I can't begin to tell you how much joy they have brought into my life in the last few years.

I got Nicky
from the German Shepard Rescue. They didn't tell me she was jumper until I day I saw her get over my 6 foot back fence. I raised it to 8ft and she still found a way out. Still love her though

What? No climbing photos?

The Fury:

That corner has to at least be V1 for a dog.

I like this one, too.

ha! You aint kidding. Both are very full of themselves. Still, I couldn't ask for better friends. Both are muts from Second Chance Rescue.

Walter looks like a big boy. How much does he weigh?

David, Walter weighs about 90 lbs. He's half Black Lab and half German Shephard. I got Nicky for Walter when I was working 12 hours a day. They've been great for each other. I figure they get to be dogs with each, unlike the humans I try make them out to be.

My new pup, Cap'n. Just under a year old and already 100lbs.

I got him in June shortly after my best pal, Phoenix, passed away. I miss her terribly. I'm sure some of you know what I mean. They are family.

Both photos courtesy of the lovely and talented Hillary Davis.

Hi Ed. Didn't realize she wasn't with you anymore. Sorry to hear that. The new guy looks eager for fun.

Maybe next time wipe off the drool before making him pose for photos. How embarassing. =)

Here's (On-the-Road) Jack, taking a break from inspiring don't-bring-your-dog-to-the-crag threads. He wears a "Who me?" expression in this picture because he came home covered with dirt, after fruitlessly excavating a chipmunk's tunnel in the woods.

Yeah, David -- she was with me for 10+ years and then succumbed to cancer in a very short time frame. Hug yer pooches.

Cap'n photo was perfect. He's a drooling, frollicking idiot and the photo captures his essence quite well. ;-)

Brigid the Irish Wolfhound. She is small for a Wolfie, but still 150 pounds.
