(Edited repost.)
We probably should talk about car pooling, and other ways to reduce the environmental impact of our all attending the FaceLift. Any ideas? Werner, should we all buy trees, or you got enough pencils to go around?
On a somewhat related note, I'm sure Ken has done an excellent job of rounding up prizes for volunteers. We all love nice new goodies, but we also know there are some important values underlying the FaceLift. One is the environment, another is thinking of others.
I suggest that those SuperTopian FaceLifters who don't need or want more gear, or who simply wish to abstain, refrain from entering the draws. It would say something about what's important to us, and enhance the chances of others who may have greater need - there'll be lots of young people there, and neither Camp 4 residents, students, nor Valley employees are noted for an excess of disposable (or any) income.
A morally sound compromise might be to enter the draws, but turn anything you don't really need or want back into the pool, for another to win.
Just an idea, that would be entirely voluntary and anonymous, as such things should be. Not an anti-materialist statement - people who live in glass houses, like me, shouldn't throw stones. But it may be a nice gesture.

At last year's raffle some people who badly needed very important gear, quite by chance got what they needed. There were a lot of enjoyable moments last year. That was one of them.

I predict the facelift ball game will be a disaster.

Well then, we'll have to have a game of hawkee instead.

Hey Ken,
Am I supposed to confirm with you for Christa and my campsite for the 25th through the 28th? If so then we are still in and looking forward to it.
And by the way thanks to all of you guys who are putting in such an effort to make my first trip to Yosemite an awesome experience. It is all about me isn't it?...

SuperTacoLand is TOOOOOOOOOO funny!
Which makes me think I've arrived at the right place!
We shall digress.
Pancakes.
Pancakes?
Anybody have an extra cast iron griddle they could loan to Pancake Man for the morning of Sept 30? I've got two double burner stoves, so just need some extra metal, 'mon!
Cheers!

I'm an idiot too! The thing is, if you look on the nps.gov site for yose they don't have any info on this campground. Does it really exist? Do I really exist? are we really having sushi and pancakes?

Yellow Pines used to be the Muir Campground many years ago. It is now a Volunteer Campground.

To get rid of any confusion, here is a map. Bicycles are handy here to avoid driving around.
