Here's the problem:
I have a terminal illness as well. And much like Dirtineye (and many other people) I am fighting to live.
The difference?
I don't use it to my advantage and I don't use it to attract attention or sympathy.

Ok, Ok - Locker, you're right, I was too harsh in my comments about dirtinmouth's cancer. But you must understand that I don't take sh*t from Dirt or anyone else. He attacked me, for no good reason at all, and hijacked my thread.
And, I have very in touch with cancer in all forms - I've lost people to it, mother is fighting it. So that angle has long since been desensitized for me.
Besides, he's a total INTERNET BUTTPLUG SOCK PUPPET.

There are a few really lame things you can do on an internet forum:
 diss your ex-climbing partner
diss your ex-lover
publish personal communications
If you have a personal problem with someone, don't bring it here. Nobody cares. Instead attempt to settle it person to person via private communications. If you have an issue with someone, take it up with them, and keep it at that.
If you publish alleged personal communications on an internet forum - regardless of the context - your credibility is forever tarnished, if not destroyed, because nobody will dare tell you anything in confidence again. There is no proof whatsoever that the person alleged to have written what he wrote above really did write it! You don't have to be a genius to edit an email to put the words you want into someone else's mouth.
While I have no personal squabble with someone who has done this above, whatever empathy I might have felt for this person evaporated when I read someone else's email. The manly thing to do would be to edit the post above to remove personal communication.
'nuff said.
Incidentally, as far as credibility is concerned, Off The Couch has none until such time as "she" reveals her true identity - "Jen" is insufficient. Most of us at least know that dirt is Curt Johnson. To diss someone from a fake identity without revealing who you are in real life is the most cowardly act of all.

While I agree with your opinion about not airing our dirty laundry in front of others, I disagree with your opinion on personal communications. If said communications reveals a bully, then I am all for not allowing them to hide.

And as for the girl who it was went to, she sent it to me. She's a friend of mine whose only cirme was defending me agaisnt Richard's Bulshyte. She can also take care of herself.
I'd hate to be in richard's shoes if she get hold of him.
ONe more time, thos of you who think someone shoudl be able to write crap liek what richard wrote and expect p[eopel to keep it secret for them are just fvcking nuts.
Let what he wrote stand in the light of day, not hidden from view, and let everyone see just how the man really is, BY HIS ONW HAND.
Why anyone feels that this sort of crap should not be put out in public is beyond me.
That's just the sort of thinking people like rechard need to keep people in the dark about their true nature.
Is it not just a little peculiar that Pete wants email kept private? Gee I just have to wonder why that could be.
I'm all for outing people who write stuff like what's in that email. When they see that everyone will know just how they are, maybe they'll stop, and it sure won't be so easy to pull the wool over people's eyes.
I'd say if you are going to write seriously disgusting hateful menacing crap to people, you had better be prepared for everyone to know about it.
Talk your way around that if you can.

Dirt, someday I hope that you can see that it is your reaction that keeps this going. Some people just like to yank others chains. And sometimes, no matter how much you dislike someone else, sometimes you just have to accept that they exist. You can not protect everyone and you probably shouldn't. I say keep an eye out for your friends and those who can't protect themselves and otherwise, let the world take care of itself. Werner is a big boy. If he sees something in this other person, then, that is his business. I still do not understand why you went after Off the couch so quickly over an anonymous email address. It might be wise for you to learn to let people have enough rope to hang themselves. Most people here do not need a babysitter, we like it when our friends have our back, but we do like to just face the world and see what cums. Still laughing about that sign.

Why would you post that letter? It doesn't help your case at all. It merely shows the world that you are, in fact, paranoid and delusional.
I read that letter a few times and really tried to find a way to interpret it as being nasty.
It's not.
While it may be strongly worded, he is simply trying to warn her about you. He is saying that you are manupulative and that she shouldn't trust you. He is trying to get the truth across. And he is using strong words because he knows you have done things like this to women in the past. It's a warning to her. Not a threat.
It sounds like you're just scared, and you're applying your own fears and thoughts into that letter.

John, I think the answer is simple. Dirt thinks Off the couch is Dr. Kodos. Off the couch is just another troll Richard came up with to trap him. Richard is probably a couple dozen characters that frequent this forum with the sole purpose of trapping/trolling dirt.
Oh, and Off The Couch, there's one thing about your "story" that doesn't sit right. You claim to be a "long time lurker" 'round these parts. If that's the case, I don't understand why you'd need to ask your original question that started this thread (read: it should be obvious by now).
