I remember going to the base once with John and Ron Peers before it was done. They had done the first pitch and had to trundle some huge flake off on the first pitch.

They showed me the crater from a couple of days earlier. They showed me where they will climb this route above.

I thought it looked impossible.

Thus it proves " WTF do I know?"

nothing much ...............

There was a guy running around Idyllwild a few years back making statements that he was going to retrobolt The Edge, and a few other run classics. His argument was that the rock is public property and the first ascentionists had no right to set future climber's style. I argued that the history and tradition of, and future opportunities for proud bold ascents in the area belongs to the community and were not his to erase. I think he ran into enough resistance he never made his move.

It's better to talk these types out of acting in the first place than to have to chop. A great route once bolted and chopped is never really the same, eh?

For those who missed it, this thread was started a year and a half ago.

Also, the person posting as DISCO STU, Disco Stu, theoncler, TheMaestro, dakine420
(not to mention mark stroeve, samanthaclimber, Eli M Hughes, ect in other threads)
eventually had all of those accounts banned, beside the fact that at some point
he must have gotten bored talking to himself in all those back and forth posts.

bachar says "stick to top roping..."

Uber-classic response, the only thing reading in this entire thread. Everyone else who responded, make sure you put some antibiotic cream on your lips, rusty fish hooks cause tetanous.

If you actually read what I wrote above, dimwit, you wouldn't have just made a fool out of yourself...

Edit: the link resolves directly to the relevant post in the *Attn: TheMaestro, I'll see you in court* thread,
which was made on Nov 17, 2004, at 06:49am PST by "Disco Stu" saying he is mark stroeve.

Yeah, I know Hardman, you had it sussed out in the original thread from what I remember too. But being dimwitted and making a fool of myself is really what I do best.

"Stick to toproping"

Blowboarder, that wasn't directed at you!! It was the post directly above yours.
Edit: I just edited my post to include his quote so it's knott confusing.

Anyway, thanks for the bump back to the front page.

Still waiting...

I've been listening to a lot of Tower Of Power lately.
The horns are fuçking amazing, and Rocco Prestia is the best funk bass player
there ever was in my opinion. BTW, Steve Cropper produced their second album...

Hardman Knott - yeah 'bump city' - tower horns rule baby!

Love Rocco, but Larry Graham and Bootsy are the funkiest bass players in my book...

JB Horns blow some tight sh#t too...
